I agree with starting drops of Breastmilk immediately if its available!!

If not, the dr will probably give her drops. Our pediatrician said there is a liquid drop and a gel. He gave us the liquid first but said if we were having trouble getting it in her eye to call back and he would send in a prescription for the gel.

My husband just got pink eye yesterday, I'm pretty sure from LOs daycare. I love how sick all 3 of us have been this year.
No advice, just commiserating with you :)

My girl had conjunctivitis. We had to use clean cloths to wash her eyes. And we got prescribed eye drops.

LO hasn't had pink eye (yet!) but I've always heard to wet a cotton ball in water as hot as you think is appropriate for your baby and wipe from the inner corner of the eye towards the outer corner. You only wipe once with each cotton ball (change cotton balls for each new wipe and most especially between eyes) and it should clear up in a day or two. I'm not sure if that's the most current recommendation but that's what I've always been told.

Poor little bubby, I also sort of hate parents who think nothing of spreading their LO's germs! I hope your LO feels better soon.

If you're breastfeeding you can use breast milk! Not sure what a doc would recommend, though.

LO has apparently caught pink eye at day care. Her teacher told us that there was another baby with symptoms and they kept telling the parents to take her to the doc, but the parents insisted it was allergies. Finally, they took the poor baby after three days and day care insisting. Yep, pink eye. I kind of hate those parents right now.

Has anyone else had a three month old with pink eye? We're off the ped in the morning, but just wondering what I can expect for the poor girl. It's only her 2nd week in day care and she's already had a cold with a fever and now pink eye. I knew she'd get sick from day care, but this seems like a bit much.
