Like you, I attribute my easy pp transition at least partially to taking a mix of raw and encapsulated placenta.</p> <p>I hadn't been considering it at all because I'm not usually one to take supplements. But my doula offered the service as an inexpensive add-on, and I sort of wanted to do it to freak out my family... and because I thought it couldn't hurt. :-) </p> <p>I've only had the one baby, so it's impossible for me to make a comparison, but I produced tons of milk and had almost no baby blues at all. I did have pp hair loss around 5 months (a month or two after running out of pills) and plenty of sweating in the first month. I don't know if it matters, but I haven't tended to be prone to depression in the past.</p> <p>Anyhow, to those mamas considering it... Give it a try! I chose the raw method.
