@T.H.O.U.: argh, typed up a big response and a misclick erased it all. Basically, yes, agree with everything you say. We have reservations for both breakfast and dinner, so I can't wait to experience both! I was responding on my phone before and was limited in how much I could easily type. You pretty much won't get in at any time of day without an advance dining reservation (ADR). Once you have your ADR you can preorder breakfast and lunch in advance of actually going there, so you can go into the shorter line to simply pay, sit down, and wait for your meals to arrive.

@ChitownRo: I love Epcot. There really isn't much to do for little kids currently, but I love walking through the different countries. I'm curious to see how the reviews of the new Frozen ride, and how long the line to meet A & E turn out. If you have the Disney Visa there's a special meet and greet (not A&E, think more along the lines of Mickey, though nothing is guaranteed) in one of the buildings.
https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2016/05/frozen-ever-after-attraction-royal-sommerhus-set-to-open-at-epcot-june-21/

At magic kingdom, if your almost three year old is tall enough and adventurous enough, the Seven Dwarves ride gets a crazy line quickly. Try to fastpass+ that if possible.

At animal kingdom Disney's working on keeping it open later and making it an all day park, with (among other things) a light and water show set to debut (Rivers of Light, which is delayed and is now starting with The Jungle Book Alive with Magic). https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2016/05/first-ever-night-experiences-at-disneys-animal-kingdom-begin-may-27/

@StrawberryBee: one thing to note is that while lunch is counter service you walk through the line and order and then they bring your food to you. No carrying trays to tables or waiting for food like the other counter service places. You get your own sodas still but also free refills so that's a plus. Between being served and free refills it's a huge plus for us at lunch and worth the extra few bucks.

Our second fav counter service we found at MK was the Comlubia house. Just outside fantasyland so it's close but out of the crowds.

FYI, Disney has just released info about when Anna and Elsa are switching their meet and greet from mk to Epcot. If that or the new frozen ride are important to you (both premiere June 21st), keep that in mind. A&e will no longer meet at mk on or past that date. There will only be fastpass + for the ride, not the character meet.

Be our guest is currently a difficult reservation to get. Breakfast and lunch are counter service (bf is overpriced because most people use it to get into the park early). Dinner is table service. Dining reservations open online at 6am 180 days in advance.

I'm currently planning a trip in September, so i have Disney on the brain ;)

We were just there with a 2.5 year old. Based on our experience, I"d recommend 2 days at Magic Kingdom. While Animal Kingdom is my personal favorite, there was nothing there she could ride (we didn't go on the safari b/c I am pregnant). She liked the trails with the animals and the dino area (there is a playground type space and a dumbo-like ride) but that was all we could do.

Hollywood Studios also didn't have much for LOs. We did three things (2 shows and the Toy Story ride) and that was enough.

We did 2.5 days at Magic Kingdom and still did not manage to see everything. She loved it and I'd definitely recommend spending your extra day there. Or get a park hopper and do 1.5 days there and 0.5 days at Animal Kingdom.

I loved animal kingdom! I would do that. But I think my favorite part was the Everest rollercoaster. I wasn't a fan of Hollywood Studios at all. Although, I personally love Epcot because of all the food and booze so I would probably do Epcot!! lol.

Oh - and I highly recommend Be Our Guest breakfast - if you can get an 8:00am-ish reservation when the park opens at 9:00am.

We got to get in to MK early, walk down a deserted main st (awesome pics in front of the castle!!) eat breakfast in Beast's castle, ride Mine Train (which has insane lines all day), and be first in line to Meet Anna/Elsa - all before 9am.

It was worth it not to have deal with the crazies and mad dash at Rope Drop alone.

I would do whatever the adults wanted to do. At that age kids are amazed by anything. Our last trip, We did MK one day and Epcot the second. DD (2.5) loved Epcot as much, or maybe even more than Mk.

I would skip HS. So much is under renos now and it's a lot of shows so a lot of waiting around for them to start. Animal Kingdom is always a great choice, I love it there !

Animal Kingdom. It is uniquely a Disney World thing. They are at the right animal loving age. I was not looking forward to going to that park but it ended up being my favorite. Where else can you get a safari? Lots of shows. Even though it is a short day, you won't be going all day all night with ones that young. The only thing happening for that age at HS is Disney Junior. Do NOT go there. Plus another reason to go to Animal Kingdom, your IL will really enjoy it. Have fun!! I'll be going again later this year and just finished my dining reservations the other week. So fun!!!!

I would do a second day at MK, especially if you won't be doing WDW often. AK isn’t a good zoo (unless maybe you have NO zoo anywhere nearby) and didn’t really seem like it would have that much for real little kids. The safari was pretty good, but for me personally, that doesn’t fulfill the ticket price. I know some people love AK, but I was really disappointed - except for the Expedition Everest rollercoaster which was fantastic, but not suitable for kids lol

Definitely plan your dining reservations ahead – if you have specific restaurants you want, or character meals you want. You don’t have to have reservations to eat, but if you want to eat at the nicer restaurants, definitely get reservations.

Don’t forget to set up your FastPasses in advance too. I think you can do 3 a day (? I think that’s what I remember the max being, but double check that). We did a FastPass for a princess meet and greet in the AM, a kid’s ride just before lunch and then one after lunch. If your LO’s will want to see Anna and Elsa, *definitely* FastPass that meet and greet. Last time we were there you could get in to see some princesses with like a 45 minute wait depending on the time of day but I never saw the A&E line at less than 2 hours.

We recently did 4 days (split over a 3 months/3 different trips). We did:

WDW - 1 day trip
WDW - It was so much fun to go back again
Epcot - Shorter day, most things close by 6 or 7 except the countries
We are going back this month for a short day at AK.

Hi -
I'm looking for planning advice. We are thinking of going to WDW the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving with our almost 3 year old son and 10 month old daughter. My in laws will be coming too

I'm definitely planning on Magic Kingdom on Monday. For Tuesday - should we do Magic Kingdom again (bc it's the best), Animal Kingdom (prob good for littles, boring for adults), or Hollywood Studios (boring for littles? Although has Disney junior there)

I'm going to start booking tomorrow. Apparently food reservations need to be made 6 months ahead of time...so nutty!

Thanks guys :)
