thanks @snowjewelz! I'm getting more and more excited! When it happens we'll figure things out day by day...

I think it will be fine! The only downside is you can be really sick then, being in 1st trimester still. But if you were already KU by then, you'd have to make it work! And it's not 100% that you will feel sick! I'd also just make sure you're super careful about drinking water, and what you eat, etc and that the itinerary is not crazy stressful that can affect your pregnancy.

Worst comes to worst, you don't go! If you were already TTC and already KU, then you might have been on your maternity leave anyway.

Thanks for the replies!

@ameliabedilia this is exactly why I am trying to let go of my timing worries... I've never tried to get pregnant before, so I have no idea how easy or hard it will be! 13 cycles sounds tough. Good luck and prayers to you!

@mamacate thank you! I guess it is inevitable... 9 months is a long time to have to schedule things around. Chances are something will come up that won't be easy with morning sickness and a growing belly!

I think this is totally normal...the second guessing and wondering about the timing. There will never be a perfectly optimal time to get KU and each cycle will have its pluses and minuses. I even felt this way after I got pregnant: this is great! But I won't be able to xyz...

Good luck and I hope a bfp is in your near future!

It is unlikely that you wouldn't be able to fly, although if you're not feeling well, it will be suboptimal.

Timing things when TTC is so hard. We are in our 13th cycle and never expected it to take this long. The question is how important is being 100% for this opportunity is to you, or whether you would rather be pregnant and figure things out.

It's me again! It's so like me to overthink everything, so here I go again. DH just informed me he's ready to TTC at the end of the month (I'm still in disbelief!), and I don't want to delay any further than that, BUT I have been waiting for an opportunity to travel to Asia for work and that opportunity is planned for the summer. If (and that's a big IF) we get KU right away, I would be about 9-10 weeks for the trip. Does that matter? Will I still be allowed to go? No one at work will have to even know about it that early on, but would it be unsafe for me to fly 20ish hours in the first trimester, and spend a week or so in Asia?

And also, why do I care so much? By wanting to have a baby in the first place I'm choosing to welcome something new in my life that will be priority over my career. I keep going back and forth between wanting to start TTC right away and not caring what it does to the rest of my life, and thinking of all the possible reasons why we should not have a baby right now. Is this normal? I think I put the scary things out of my mind for so long while I was trying to convince DH to do it, and now that he's on board, I'm totally second guessing our decision.
