Apparently, all the old timers aerate, it's when you poke little holes at the top of it using a tool or machine that you push with little spokes. She was a bit horrified when I told her we were adding clover. We mix in clover with our grass seed and it's the only thing we found that allowed us to have a green yard without all the chemicals. We have a big shaded part and dogs and kids running around so our yard needs help. </p> <p>Anyone else go the clover route or what do you do to keep a nice yard? </p>
