We brought a rug and quilt and later it down. Also brought a large basket with books and toys to set in the middle. Topped it off by blowing up some balloons. All the kids and toys were contained in there and it left the rest of the house for the adults! I like the idea of a ball pit and then maybe set up a small area of little people toys? We have a long hallway that the kids used for ride on toys as well. A lot of the Pinterest parties I've pinned have something set up for the little ones, so I'm thinking it might be useful. The party will be in a banquet-type room at my parents' church, so there isn't anything already there - just a big square room. </p> <p>Did you have a play area for the kids at your LO's first birthday party? What type of toys/activities did you include? I'd love to see pics if you have them! </p>
