It was strange, though...there are three play areas separated by roads. The fun fort, which is this huge, wooden thing, a smaller "baby" playground, and then a third medium playground. No one anywhere! I mean, it was hot out, but the playgrounds are shaded this time of day! E and I had a play date at the playground scheduled for 11:30. Due to him not sleeping at all Wed night and barely napping yesterday we both slept like rocks last night. I slept through my alarm, couldn't find a shoe, the top of his bento box or my keys. I had to wake him up and we rushed here. </p> <p>To find the playground empty. Deserted. This is one of those fun forts and there are always a million kids around. It's eerie. And I forgot E's water bottle. So no sign of the mom's we were meeting. I sit E down with his food and pull out my phone to find messages from both of them canceling. One little boy is sick and the other is leaving for vacation tonight and isn't ready. I was in such a rush this morning I didn't stop to check my phone! </p> <p>So we're having a lunch date, lol. </p> <p>Happy Friday! </p>
