The forecast said rain for the first 3 days we were there. We were bummed when it did rain when we got there. We stayed at the resort the first two days but it was suggested to plan some excursions for the third rainy day. We went to Tulum and once we left the resort area, the weather was perfect. It did rain several days during our times there but it wasn't the whole day or anything - it would go away quickly so it didn't ruin our vacation or anything. There were several cloudy days though. In 2010, we didn't see any rain at all. Unfortunately last year it rained at least a little every day. We were told that's pretty typical for this time of year. But it's tropical rain and clears as fast as it came - no washouts. Enjoy! However, I noticed that although the weather says it's beautifully sunny and warm for today and tomorrow, the weather report states it is going to rain (80-90% precipitation) and have thick clouds and thunderstorms for all the days we are there. </p> <p>But, when booking the trip, I read that there is only one day of rain on average in June!</p> <p>Has anyone been to this area in June? Was there sunshine or rain? </p>
