My twin boys are extremely active and drive me nuts if they stay inside too long. We don't go out for too long, but 20-30 minutes of splashing in puddles in their rain boots seems to give them a good night's sleep! With rain gear if we are going for a walk, just regular clothes if we're playing in the backyard. We get soaked then come inside for hot drinks and a long warm bath. I feel like getting wet is part of the fun! Once she was maybe 2.5ish I let her and she loved it so much that I try to let her every once in a while. She was so cute and talks about it all the time so it's worth it. Otherwise, if it wasn't freezing and just a light sprinkle I might consider letting them go out for a bit as long as they were bundled up. </p>
