We used droip ins too! We got a few free bottles from the baby show and we bought the walmarr brand inserts. I don't think its too expensive compared to the alternative of buying a whole set of bottles, steralizers etc. They're so convenient and easy to use so I'm a fan!

I love drop in liners for travel, so convenient and less to wash. The only thing I don't like about them is that you can't heat up the liner, so you can't use a microwave or bottle warmer.

Thanks everyone. I decided to keep both of them since it was a good deal. I will leave one unopened and decide later if I need it. if I don't use I'll give it away.

We used drop-ins from the beginning all the way to the end! You can buy inserts that fit them at Target or BJ's (I bought them from BJ's). It saves SO much dishwashing time, hot water, soap, sterilization... You still have to wash the nipples each time but I just built up a big supply of them.

That's such a great price, I'd keep one and stash the other away for a baby shower in the future!

We used drop ins for a while. Like others said, you need the insert to use the bottle. We bought Target brand so it was cheaper, but still it adds up. Also, I hated throwing away all those inserts, it was a lot of plastic!

I did think they were nice to have in the beginning because they're so easy to clean, and you're very busy and tired with a newborn so cleaning bottles isn't fun.

@mrsbells: Since you are using the inserts, you don't need a lot of bottles. You can just pop in a new insert and nipple without washing the bottle. But you got really good deals! If at home, I would just reuse the bottles a few times before washing. But if your LO is going to daycare, for example, and you need to bring pre-filled bottles then you would need a few more. It depends on your situation. Does that make sense?

@Andrea: Oh I see.. maybe I should return one box then? or do you think I would need both? I have the box shown in the link above which is the premium gift box and then I also have the original gift box which is this one http://www.walmart.com/ip/Playtex-Original-Nurser-Newborn-Gift-Set-BPA-Free/2403332?findingMethod=rr

Do you think I should keep both?

Drop in bottles require the inserts. I would check out Playtex Ventaire. We used the drop-ins for way longer than we should have. It gets expensive to buy those inserts! I wish we had switched to Ventaire sooner.

I bought two boxes of these today as an impulse purchase since the gift box usually $22 was reduced to $6 and the other one was only $5. But now I'm wondering if I made the right choice.

Also when the baby is older can you put the milk directly into the bottle or do you always need to use the drop in inserts?
