On average, it takes a couple a year to conceive. That's why there have been so many graduates from the 6 months plus thread recently! I'm sorry you're at a low point right now--it's a very tough thing to handle.</p> <p>My advice is to sit down and think about a plan, like, "We'll try for X more months before seeking out help." And think about the approach you might want to take with testing and interventions. My RE started with testing, and if I said I wanted to be aggressive with treatment, she would have done so (I did a more conservative approach). It took us 8 months to get pregnant the first time only to miscarry, get pregnant again after 3 more only to miscarry and finally got pregnant over a year and a half from when we first started. </p> <p>I have no advice on how to make it easier for you other than trying to keep your mind occupied elsewhere and take up something that helps to be an outlet for you. I started running as a stress outlet and set a few running goals which did help my stress levels. But, no matter what way you look at it...it absolutely sucks. Even a healthy couple with well-timed intercourse apparently only has a 20%-25% chance of conceiving each cycle.</p> <p>For some people, it can just take longer than others. My temp has dropped the last few days, and I am pretty confident this isn't our month. DH and I are both 33. No risk factors for infertility. We have both been under a lot of stress. My doctor was not concerned but did some labs anyway since I was nervous and we were near our deductible- perfectly normal. DH's family doctor did an "unofficial sperm count" which was normal (doc said he rarely does them so isn't sure 100% on morphology but count looked fine). I don't smoke, am a healthy weight, not on any meds, just prenatals and other doctor approved supplements.</p> <p>I tried acupuncture but it gave me migraines. I just started using preseed this cycle. We have been temping. I did OPKs for 2 cycles but found I was ovulating day 14-15 each time and it just stressed me out.</p> <p>Why isn't this happening? I feel like it is never going to happen. </p>
