She took her for two nights. It was really hard but I really enjoyed time with my DH. Would I want her to leave me all the time like that? And I cried about it :( Obviously it was good for everyone for LO to be with my parents. DH and I needed our rest, my parents and LO had a blast. Going for a few hours will be easier to deal with than all night &amp; you'll be able to prepare. Maybe plan a spa day to get ready for your date night? DH has been bugging me about this for awhile so I told him for our chanukah gift for each other we'll get a hotel room for one night and have a date night and leave LO with my mom. This was decided months ago..... and the night is coming up this weekend. </p> <p>I thought I'd be fine with it but I'm not. I trust my mom with LO, that's not the issue at all. I'm a SAHM so I'm rarely away from her. Also, the recent school shooting obviously got to me and made this very bad timing. </p> <p>I'm not going to back out, I know that I have to leave her sometime for the sake of our marriage. I just really hope that I can have a good time and not be all mopey and sad the whole time. </p> <p>Any tips? </p>
