@prettylizy: that looks like something she may like...thanks! I doubt they will let me use it there, but it would be good for home.

@hummusgirl: we are wrapping the middle. I asked if we could do that there and it was a big fat negative. Ugh...

I know you said both arms out doesn't work, but are you still swaddling the middle? If both arms have to be out for daycare, maybe try a sleep sack with those arm flap things around the middle so she still feels somewhat secure.

We just weaned from the swaddle at 4.5 months and I don't think it would've worked earlier. Good luck, I feel for you!

Or, I saw another mama on the boards talking about one of these a while ago.... it's not techincally a swaddle but it works kind of like a swaddle/sleep sack for crazy arm babies.

@SLR: so sorry she's been so tired. Have you tried taking in other things to help her sleep there, like maybe if you slept with a blanket of hers for a few days then took it in, it will smell of you so may comfort her.

@LemonLong: I have a sleep sheep at home, but it's already on the fritz so we haven't been using it much and I don't think she has missed it. They did say we could bring one in though so perhaps I will go get another.

@NerdBee: She is twelve weeks and can't roll over yet. I was JUST thinking how that could solve our problem!

I'm going to ask them about it again tomorrow. It's a Kindercare, so not sure if it's a company policy or not. I read somewhere that in IL a doctors order is required to swaddle and know that Bright Horizons will do it with one. At a minimum, I would think they should use the sleep sack.

would they zip her in to a woombie or is it an arms must be free rule? Our LO was a swaddle addict until 5.5 months :T

Can your LO roll over on her belly yet? The only way my LO could sleep without the swaddle was on his belly.

LO just started daycare last week and it's not going so well. She is three days into it and already sick with her first fever and cold. But my bigger issue is that daycare won't swaddle and I can't for the life of me get her to sleep without one. Her arms are just too crazy! At home, we can do one arm out no problem, but not both.

She's hardly slept at all at daycare (I'm talking 8 minute naps) and totally conks out when she gets home. Now that she has a cold to get over, I want to make sure she is getting plenty of rest. Does anyone have any good tips? I do have a sleep sack there but they seem really weird about even putting that on her.
