@T.H.O.U.: when you filled out the survey to get stitch fix, did you check the $25-50 option? I chose $50-100 and most items that came were $99, haha. If I got stitch fix again, I would definitely choose the cheapest box!

@pregnantbee: I think the tighter ones you'll be able to kinda scrunch them up higher if you don't want them so long. And as the bump gets bigger the shirts get shorter.

@T.H.O.U.: I like the colors and print! I'm actually wonder how all of these longer tops will work when it's time for shorts. I wear longer shorts.....but I don't know how the tunic or longer t-shirts will look even with that. Disproportionate?

@pregnantbee:

The dress in the box (bottom left on card) is the cheapest feeling. Like cross between a target and old Navy thin knit. It was VERY expensive at $68. Totally not worth the price.

The cardigan (top left) is very nice but I'm not even sure it's maternity since it's open front. It's got a pastel trim which I don't love and I don't need more open cardigans (I can buy those in the regular section at stores, they don't need to be maternity). It was $54

The dolman top (right side) is a nice shirt. Horizontal stripe like all other maternity clothes. Nice this material though that would work well into spring. But $48.

Lastly are the jeans which are a brand I haven't heard of Denise Maternity. They are $88.

@T.H.O.U.: Ooooh, I'd totally wear that. You look adorable! It's actually very similar to one I did find and like....in the same price range, which I felt was kinda $$ at the time, but I'll get a lot of wear out of it.

@nana87: I love LOFT for non-maternity and have never tried their maternity line. A lot of the tops look really flowy, so I'm not sure they'd work for me. I'll keep checking, though, because maybe they'll have more stuff as spring and summer approach. Thanks!

@sometimesshesings: Thank you! A local friend gave me some items, and I'm so grateful. I mostly got pants and lots of nursing camis that will be really useful! The first time around, a different friend gave me her whole maternity stash -- I was so grateful. Then I bought pieces to fill it in and make them more my style. Since I'm bigger to start this time, I just can't wear most of it. I think I just need to wait a little longer for the spring/summer lines to start appearing. You know we can't wear long sleeves much longer! Well, that's what cardigans are for :)

I didn't read all the comments, but I'm in NYC and still did most my maternity clothes shopping online because it was easier and cheaper (there are a few brick and mortar stores that I loved but were $$! like Rosie Pope and Seraphine). Loft was my favorite to buy online--I wear a lot of Loft non-maternity so the sizing was easier to guess.

You're pregnant?? Congratulations!!

I had a lot of trouble this time, too. Most of my new stuff came from Target, borrowing from friends, and online ordering through Gap and Old Navy. I found a couple professional things at Motherhood, too. I was so disappointed when they stopped carrying maternity items at our local Gap. Practically all my maternity clothes came from there with LO1.

i just gave away the last of my maternity clothes, otherwise I'd offer them to you! Do you know anyone else who was pregnant recently?

@pregnantbee: I know you said you didn't want to do the online thing, but I actually really liked Pink Blush. But I NEVER bought anything full price there. The quality wasn't worth it. Everything I bought from the, for my last pregnancy will not be able to be saved for next pregnancy (maybe because I only bought a few things and wore them a lot!). But I liked the dresses and long shirts. I second Motherhood's basic tees with the scrunched sides with a regular sized cardigan over the top, as well. I wore those basically my whole pregnancy.

@pregnantbee: Hi there! I ended up at Motherhood yesterday and the options are for sure limited but I was able to find a few things.

1) I'm just going to have to deal with stripes on some things.
2) They did have some shirts that were different materials/colors. I got a cute pink blouse and even though its 3/4 sleeve, its very light weight so it should be great for spring.
3) They are just putting out a few spring things. So I think in a few more weeks they may have more.

@pregnantbee: Have you tried minefornine? I used them when I was pregnant with LO1. You can rent clothes from them online or buy clothes and they had a good selection of cute clothes.
Now I am due with LO2 and ended up buying tops and 1 pair of pants from gap online. With both pregnancies I could not find much in the stores and needed to order things online.

@pregnantbee: Check out ThredUp (consignment) as they now have maternity! I have used them in the past for non-maternity wear and have been quite happy with the selection and prices. You have to be careful as you can't return but if something doesn't fit right, order a "clean out" bag and sell it back. Granted, you won't get your money back fully if they accept the item but at least it's not a total loss.

I'll wall you a referral code for $10 off :) Good luck with your search-- I know how frustrating it can be :(

I think everything has been covered but I did 99% online because my local stores (even in a big city) never had stuff in my size. So I usually gambled and ordered numerous sizes and returned stuff either in the store or mailed it back. I had good luck with Target online for work dresses, Macys for nice jeans, Old Navy for t-shirts and tops that I could wear to work, H & M for more work blouse stuff. I did a lot of temporary credit card damage and lots of returns.
