Mrs. Bee wrote some posts on naptraining and sleep training! Maybe they will be helpful?

We have always struggled with naps too! I wish I had something really great to give you, but all I can say is that consistency is key. You co-sleep (as do we) and we've found it's particularly difficult to get her to go down unless we're laying down next to her. Papadopt mostly does babywearing for her naps, which seems to contain her and keep her sensory deprived enough to go down.

@Katm558: Have you tried CIO? It doesn't work for my daughter anymore (20 months), though. The only thing that work for my daughter now are car rides and me rocking her to sleep (sometimes). We've also tried your TV and co-sleeping strategies but those don't work either. It seems like movement is what she needs in order to make her tired enough to take a nap even though she can't survive the whole day without a nap either. It must be some kind of power struggle thing at this age.

@Andrea, I honestly haven't tried any "methods," I guessthats what I'm looking for.

We've always turned on a movie for him to zone out too, and curled up with him, told him it's nap time, and that's what usually works. We have started turning off the tv and curling up with him in our bed (we co-sleep).
