@BabyBoecksMom: I had very bad cramping in the beginning, starting a few days after my BFP. Really freaked me out but my pregnancy has been totally textbook (38+5 today!).

@Bao: My wondfos never got dark-- like they were darker than the super faint barely squinting positive I got the first day, that I don't even count, but never darker than the first true BFP I got. I stopped after a couple of days.

I've never compared lines before, I just went from the squinter line to a digital and quit. With C I took one test and stopped testing and temping completely. I'd go nuts otherwise!

Remember cramps aren't necessarily a bad thing. I've had a bunch of them the past few weeks, things are growing and stretching.

Hang in there, for me the second time its almost scarier than the first- I know a little more what to expect now, and feel more emotionally invested. But I also have to remind myself that every pregnancy is different and I'm chasing a toddler this time.

@BabyBoecksMom: I tested for like 3 weeks and the color of my positive test went up and down. It was hard for me to stop testing, but it really was for the best. I would recommend to ignore any color changes and test when it prevents worry only, but as long as you have 2 lines, that's all that matters.

Just some proof that you can't rely on tests...I got a :bfp: on a Wondfo last Monday night. It was fairly light. The next morning my HCg was measured at 88.6. The following night I took another. It was still really light. The next morning my HCg was 288.1. It more than tripled in 48 hours but my tests looked almost identical. Hope that helps. Now step away from the tests!

@BabyBoecksMom: glad you posted this, I may have tested a few days in a row too. I guess I should stop temping too... Ripping away the security blanket?!

LOL ok ok ok! I'm not testing any more. I was a worried because of the line and the cramping I had yesterday. Been taking it easy today and I feel fine.

Stop testing!! As mentioned above, they are absolutely no indication of your HCG levels--they just tell you it's there. That's why you'll get a different response from different types of tests--they all have a different sensitivity. Plus, each test can have a different amount of dye, which has nothing to do with you at all!

My wondfos were not getting darker and it was freaking me out. I waited a week and tested again and it was finally darker but still not as dark as you would think since I was 19 dpo. I don't really think the line darkness is a good indication. I've stopped testing because it drives me crazy analyzing everything.

My tests didn't get darker, but the lines showed up faster, especially if it was FMU. I tested occasionally since I had six weeks between my BFP and my first appointment, but usually it made me slightly crazy, so once I ran out of Wondfo's, I stopped testing and just trusted.

My test didn't get darker for a few days! On the other hand, when I miscarried it did, so I don't think it means anything at all!!!

Stop testing! You will drive yourself crazy. I tested a week after my BFP and it wasn't dark, it was the same as when I first tested.

Mine didn't get darker either! I found comfort in this thread: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/mrs-jaguar-on-wb-is-pregnant/page/2#post-258729

@PrincessBaby said: "and as a former POAS/Line Darkness/OCD'er, I just wanted to pipe up that you can't go by line darkness. Everyone's hcg increases differently, and the sensitivity of the same brand test can vary from test to test, pack to pack etc. When I read millions of google pages on it, I remember one lady saying her doctor told her, "Pregnancy tests don't measure HCG. They are not designed to interpret numbers. They only detect the presence of hcg.""

And this thread: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/wondfo-test-strips-should-the-lines-be-getting-darker-each-dpo#post-296309

:) Congrats again!

Just stop testing, stop temping, stop charting, etc. All it will do is drive you crazy. Call your doctor and ask for blood work to ensure all is well. That is going to be the best way to ease your mind.

ETA: That was the only way I could stay some what sane during the first few weeks. I stopped testing the day after my BFP. I wanted to see the words "pregnant" on the digital & be done. Congratulations BTW!

Ok I'm kind of worried. I tested again today (16 or 17 dpo) and it wasn't FMU (it was 2 hours after it) and the line is even more faint than it was when I tested two days ago. I thought that, since the levels double every two days that it should be darker, even when not using FMU.

Should I be worried?
