my 17 month old use to love everything but now really only likes roasted broccoli and steamed sweet potatoes smothered in cinnamon.

the only way i can get him to try his veggies now (and it still doesn't work all the time) is to dip them in hummus. i will stick green beans in a big glob of hummus so that it looks like grass. or just mix peas and hummus and spoon feed him those. i figure hummus is healthier than ketchup, right?!

I still offer them, but it's hit or miss whether or not he'll eat them. He's 20 months, and I've resorted to giving him veggie baby food pouches. He gobbles those things up, even the ones that are all veggies with no added fruits and will even ask for a pouch. I figure it's a phase, and at least I can get the vitamins in him until he starts eating regularly eating veggies again.

My nearly 8 month old hates them too! I just keep offering, and eat them in front of him often hoping his tastes will change.

You aren't alone!

I still keep putting it on his plate and offering, and just keep sneaking in what I can also. I sneak in sauces and especially tacos! Half the time if he doesn't see it, he doesn't even relize he is eating it. For some reason he does like cucumbers and salad, so I'm hoping eventually he will stop fighting to eat other stuff. He's also a fruit monster, so I'm glad he gets some good stuff in him that way.

We've been in this stage for the last month and it's so frustrating - he used to eat cucumbers, carrots, and peas with no problem. Now he won't touch anything. I've also been hiding stuff in pasta sauce and luckily he's been eating zucchini/carrot muffins with no problem. I still offer veggies that my husband and I are eating as I do notice he goes through pickiness stages for a few weeks at a time and then gets over it suddenly.

Nothing wrong with hiding veggies! I put kale in my LOs morning smoothies and scrambled eggs and shredded carrots in meatballs. I figured out my 28 mos old doesn't like mushy/soft texture so I offered blanched green beans, sugar snap peas and carrots. He loves the crunch and would eat half of veggies offered to him. I consider that a win!

I definitely suggest continuing to offer as kids tastes change frequently. I also find that my daughter is much more likely to eat something if she sees me eating (and enjoying) that food at the same time. She also apparently gives in to food peer pressure because she will seriously scarf down any food day care puts in front of her simply because everyone else is eating it.

Your LO is not the only one that won't eat veggies. :)

We hide them too! But keep trying. My daughter goes through stages where she doesn't want veggies and refuses a certain veggie (or all of them) for weeks and then randomly goes back to them.

Ugh, mine won't anymore. She was handling green smoothies okay until about two months ago. She also won't eat chicken or ground beef. Dinner is impossible!!!

DS went through a no veggie phase (uh, a long one...until he was 2.5) but then he started trying more and liking them. He eats a variety of veggies every day now.

Mine will eat veggies, but a few weeks ago stopped touching meat. Can't win!

I'm working under the assumption that it's just a phase, and keep offering at every meal in the hopes that he'll come back around to it. As for veggies, I would totally hide them in food (my SIL gave me the book Deceptively Delicious) but also offer them in regular form at every meal in the hopes that he'd come back around to them but also trying to ensure that he was getting the proper nutrients in the meantime.

LO used to loooove veggies but we are battling major pickiness these days. She will only eat broccoli and yams! I hide spinach and kale through smoothies and I'll add squash in quesadillas. You aren't alone!!

I do try and keep offering it to her though. Sometimes she will try it but spit it out afterwards.

Ugh, it's SO frustrating! I cannot get DD to eat any veggies. Pretty much the only way we can get her to eat them is to chop them up finely and hide them in pasta sauce. She used to LOVE peas when she had first started finger foods, but now won't touch them. I feel like her diet consists of bread, cheese, raisins, and fruit cups. Please tell me I'm not alone.

And I have been trying to put at least some type of veggie on her plate daily but 99% of the time they go untouched.
