One friend of mine insisted on a wedding band with shared prong rounds with only two prongs on each diamond. So yes, the diamonds shared only a single prong with their neighbors. She scouted jewelers until she found one who would actually make it (most said it couldn't/shouldn't be done). She had a solitaire for an engagement ring, and even though the wedding ring was lovely, she lost the middle stone in the first week (on her honeymoon!). After getting it replaced, she lost it AGAIN a year later. Since it was just a 5 stone band it looked awful and she had to go without a wedding ring while it was getting fixed TWICE. You don't want to regret it and have to change again later!!</p> <p>Like you, I regretted the fact that I changed settings twice already so I wanted a setting that I can wear until I'm a wrinkled old lady. I'm absolutely 100% in love with my setting now!!! I personally don't like the solitaire look anymore because I feel like as an older woman, I want something a little more solid-looking. It's funny but I feel like solitaires are for young women. I never thought I'd feel that way!! I thought solitaires were classic and perfect forever. Or get two full eternity bands and stack on either side of your e-ring. The diamonds in the pavé are set in a way that would make them quite prone to being lost. If you hit the underside or topside of the ring in the wrong way, it can cause them to become loose or fall out.
