Our first appointment was a success! My barmmorska (midwife) was awesome! She even scheduled me for a dating ultrasound without me asking for it! It's for next Friday. </p> <p>She asked me a bunch of health questions, got my blood, urine and blood pressure taken and the initial tests turned out pretty good. </p> <p>I did find out they don't do a triple/quad screen here and the only screening they administer for downs is the Nuchal Translucency, but even that isn't an available everywhere (as a required/normal test). </p> <p>The 1st ultrasound is normally at 19 weeks! I'm happy to be able to get it at 9 weeks (or if my dates are right, 8 weeks).</p> <p>Thanks again for all the well wishes! I'm sure everything is fine!</p> <p>I never really got nauseous either for what it's worth! I was really hungry until about week 10 and can remember about 3 days total where I felt nauseous. It's my first time pregnant after almost a year of actively trying. I know I shouldn't worry myself over nothing, but right now, I can't help it!</p> <p>I haven't had any spotting or cramping but I haven't actually thrown-up either. I'm nauseous, but it always seems to go away after eating, and I work from home so I've been good about it. I just need to breathe! </p> <p>What really makes me nervous is they won't do an ultrasound yet! I live in Sweden and they don't give ultrasounds this early, only bloodwork and whatever it is they do during a 1st appointment. I think I'll ask to get it done anyway, for peace of mind! I hope they allow it - I don't care if we pay out of pocket.</p> <p>I haven't told anyone yet, so please send positive vibes my way. I'll need them today! </p>
