I second what everyone else has said. I've been battling a clogged duct on and off for the past week or so. I'm just super vigilant about making sure milk comes out of a particular spot now since I know that's where the problem is. Not sure why this is occurring now for me since LO is 11 months old. Maybe she's nursing slightly differently now that she has 3 (maybe 4) teeth?

Also, I found hand expressing to be better sometimes than pumping. After pumping at work, I'd feel that the duct was still hard, so I'd hand express and it would help relieve the pressure.

Hot compresses, massage and pump/nurse again! I would call OB line anyway. If you develop a fever, may get a script quicker for antibiotics and nip it in the bud! Hope it feels better soon!

Maybe a clogged duct? Have you tried to massage it out in the shower or hot compresses?

Hope you feel better!

I woke up really engorged on my right side today. I nursed C on that side twice in a row and pumped, but I still have a lot of soreness. The tissue isn't rock hard anymore, but I do feel several lumps. It's a tiny bit pink but not red. I feel run down and exhausted, a little more than normal. I feel shaky as well, but our thermometer died today so I can't get a temp reading. I thought I'd survey HB before I call my OB's nurse line :)
