@catlady: Same-- mostly running the hot shower on it and massaging like crazy, plus nursing a ton (I had these early on when C was nursing every 3 minutes anyway). Also look closely at the nipple to see if you can see a clog or a white fleck-- one time I saw the white fleck and was able to scrape *gently* at it with a fingernail in the shower and the dislodged it. Milk came shooting out like a squirt gun and it felt soooooo good.

Antibiotics! Before I got mine, I dangle pumped which helped me feel better. Mine turned into full blown Mastitis before I felt the clog.

I haven't dealt with mastitis but I have gotten several plugged ducts and what has worked for me it to apply very hot compresses and/or hang out in a hot shower and massage really hard. It hurts like crazy but so far none of them have lasted very long.

So for the past 2 1/2 days I've had a low grade fever (under 101), I'm suspecting it is a plugged duct on both breast. I didn't realize the plugged duct till today. No lumps/ redness, just tender to touch. Planning on calling the ob's office tomorrow. What's the best treatment plan?
