Bras - no clue, I am the opposite end of the spectrum - pre-pregnancy, I barely filled out a 42B, and even those were too big sometimes. I believe the term is "barrel-chested."

What about bras? Bottoms I don't need plus size but I'm very top heavy so I straddle plus and misses (can wear anywhere from an XL to XXL but usually do plus to give the girls a little extra room) depending on the top and where it's from. I'm only 6 weeks tomorrow and my boobs are already bigger. I already have trouble finding bras to fit.

I dread bra shopping and I don't know if I should buy one now or wait a few more weeks. Anyone else having this issue?

The killer for me is that I am tall and plus size. And I work in manufacturing, so I have to wear pants to work. I was already purchasing maternity tees (with no gathers on the side) to get the extra length pre-pregnancy, so those don't work for me anymore.

Target's XXL stuff works for me (I'm 20/22 normally) and I've also been buying shirts a size or 2 larger and wearing a maternity tank under them to cover the gap. I've bought about 10 of the Liz Lange tank tops and LOVE them. They are so comfy and they haven't shrunk. I wear these under an open button-up shirt a lot.

GAP's size 18 demi-panel boot cut pants fit pretty well, even though I am usually a 20 in GAP pants. Old Navy plus size has been hit or miss in tops, but shorts and pants didn't work well for me.

I bought a pair of pants and a pair of jeans from Mommy Long Legs - they have a good range of sizes. I was nervous to purchase because they are based in the UK, so I bought a size up thinking I could always have them altered and they were too big, so they run true to size. Long Tall Sally also has some extended sizes, but you might have to have them hemmed.

@Sugar.Biscuit: ugh, why do they not have anything in the store!? So frustrating. I think motherhood is really the only one that carries at least SOME clothes in the store. I hate not trying things on, especially now that my body is going to be completely different. Sigh.

Khols has some stuff but you have to order that online. Otherwise I've been getting mine from motherhood. Also lots of empire waistline dresses & shirts. Some of my lanebryant shirts with the gathering on the side still work for me. I'm 16 weeks with twins.

I'm going to have the same problem! I bought some jeans from motherhood because they are the only store I've been to that had the plus sizes in the store to try on. Does JC Penny have their plus sizes in the store?

@babybeemcd: you already mentioned everywhere I got mine. I loved most of the pants I got from motherhood, I still where the comfy black lounge pants I got there at 7 months pp...shhh :) I liked old navy's tops and T-shirts but I also went to Macy's and just tried on larger non maternity tops and those ended up working the best for me, especially for work. Good luck I know it is tough finding nice/ cute plus size maternity clothes.

Alright, all you fellow plus size mamas, where are you finding your clothes? I'm newly pregnant and know that winter is going to be hard-- my pre-preg size is a 22/24, so finding even BIGGER clothes to keep warm in the Chicago winter sounds like a pretty daunting task!

I've ordered a few things from Motherhood's plus line already, and I know that JC Penney sells some plus size stuff, and I will be able to wear Old Navy XXL tops depending on their material and whatnot. Beyond that, everything I've seen is pretty dowdy. I wish Lane Bryant, Avenue and Old Navy still had their plus maternity lines!

So, where are YOU getting your plus size preg clothes? Does anyone have a particular belly band they like? Budget friendly on both counts is a major plus!
