@runnerd: Good call! I put off a bunch of races this year and really regret it. I need to find some to sign up for!

@Grace: Um I'm totally stealing this idea :-) Sounds like a treat!

@mrskoloa: Awesome thanks! DH has never been to Kauai so it's high on out list!

@Cole: Oh my gosh this is perfect! I need to plant some bulbs so this would be such an amazing story if this were my month!!

@MrsMcD: Amen to that one ;-)

Thanks for everyone for sharing on this thread. It's really helpful to look back and realize all the things I can still be grateful for at this moment. <3 :-)

I have been thinking about posting on here all week. I'm currently on the upswing of the emotional roller coaster but I just wanted to say it's so tiring and I'm only only month 2 of TTC! It's just so strange to constantly be like, "Welllll I could be pregnant at that time so..." when you are making future plans. I think I need to relax BIG TIME. I am upping my yoga twice to twice a week and trying very hard not to make BD a chore for DH... he has hinted that I am getting obsessive and I feel bad. Also, WINE!!

I had several days of Disney and amusement parks this summer. I've completed 2 (and halfway through another) grad classes since we started. We renovated our master bathroom. I would love to plan a trip to have something to look forward to. I would like to go on a ski trip, but that is a risky one if I do get pregnant in the meantime.

When I realize I am not pregnant, I also realize I can continue to nap, sleep in, booze it up, and go in hot tubs all to my hearts desire. DH and I are definately enjoying our quiet house while we can. We just pray we don't have a quiet house forever!

@NorCalWayfarer: Thanks for starting this, I have been stalking it since I know it will be helpful soon!

Yoga has been helpful for me, I even splurged and bought a new mat yesterday. My gym has a great hot tub, sauna and steam room so taking advantage of those is a nice thing to do post bfn. I also bought a puzzle to put together which should prevent some unnecessary googling.

Last month during the tww I planted a bunch of bulbs for the spring hoping I could tell our child one day that they were planted while we waited for them to come, I was sad that it didn't work out until I realized that this whole TTC time falls into that category. I am sort of nesting in that way you do while getting ready for a special guest. Planting flowers and cleaning out closets to make room and sprucing up our home are for my husband and I but really if we didn't want kids we wouldn't even have bought the house. So much of what we do is getting ready for a tiny, much anticipated guest.

@Happygal: saving is a necessary evil! I love watching our savings balance climb...but hate actually doing it! I'm also trying to save and stock up on my PTO so that when I do get to go on maternity leave, I'll have lots to use!

Love this idea!

We're trying to save, so every month I'm not pregnant, we see it as one more month to get ahead. I know that's not as exciting!

I did a dumb thing for this month. I've been putting off getting a follow up mammogram for a lump they found, so I scheduled it for after I start my period. A massage is a much better idea!

@NorCalWayfarer: Great idea! Thanks for making this!

@runnerd: I've been the same with running! I keep hoping I'll have a reason not to sign up for a race...but I need to just buck up and do it.

I'm going on a trip to Mexico next week - so it'll be nice to eat/drink whatever I want and be able to go ziplining! I've also decided that if I'm not pregnant by February (my birthday) - I'm going skydiving. Snowboarding this winter will be nice too. Plenty of things to look forward to :)

@NorCalWayfarer: I've been putting a lot of running goals on hold bc "I'll probably be pregnant then" and don't want to get deep into training for nothing - finally enough is enough... Signed up for 3 October races, 2 Nov races, and a half in Dec. if I'm not pregnant by then, marathon training will be next.

It's hard. I had a moment this morning where I kept thinking about how I should be pregnant still but of course I'm not. I did feel better when I came home to my 50 wondfos I ordered, that feels like hope. I like to rant to my journal, it helps me get out the negative feelings.

Honestly, I just try and distract myself. I spend a lot of time reading my bible. Also I agree with @LindsayInNY, white wine helps lol!

Ehh... I try and cherish little things, like my husband and I being able to do whatever we want whenever we want to. We may be going to an all inclusive resort for Christmas this year, which would be basically impossible to do if I was pregnant or had a baby. Still, all I want for Christmas is a :bfp: .

@LindsayInNY: Oh yes and lovely alcohol too :-) We also talked about a Hawaii vacation in January too if I'm not pregnant -- partially as a BDing vacation (DH said he'd even schedule it around when I'm Oing), and partially just to have something fun to look forward too! Oktoberfest would be the best non-pregnant vacation! And Grand Canyon sounds super fun too, I've never been!

Truthfully, just knowing that one day it will be my turn helps me stay positive! But, in the meantime, I'm enjoying lovely alcohol! I'll definitely be skiing this winter if I can. And we've talked about possible future vacations if I don't need to save up vacation time for maternity leave... London in the Spring, Oktoberfest in the fall, etc. If I'm pregnant, I'll be okay not doing either though! We're going to schedule a Jeep tour in AZ next month once I finish this cycle. Also look into a mule tour into the Grand Canyon!

(Note I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad, just looking for some silver linings about having to wait for our BFPs!)
