Not a fun experience! But I have a friend who tried for like 14 months and she got pregnant the month after me (with no interventions) and now she is pregnant with her second and they conceived Baby#2 on the first month trying. She said for her she learned it was really about anatomy - something about letting gravity help things along. I think she basically laid down for a really long time after they BD. So it's possible to take awhile but then to not have major problems, I guess is what I am getting at. I know it's hard to stay positive and it's impossible to always be positive, but hopefully that helps shake off some of the low spots!</p> <p>So anyways - the long process the first time around is the reason for technically saying we are NTNP rather than TTC - trying to be less crazy-making the second time around. It's not really working though. I DO think just referring to it that way is less stressful for DH, so that is positive. We're going for #2 and this TWW is killing me. We aren't technically trying - more NTNP but I am way too Type A to just forget about it until AF is past due. AF is due on Sunday, so.... I wait.</p> <p>It took us like a year to get pregnant with our son and with him I was charting and temping and doing all that jazz. I keep thinking, Oh man, it's going to take us forever this time. I do not have that all in me another time - plus temping would be pointless when my son is not reliable on when he wakes up so neither am I. Plus the last time I was going to accupuncture and eating well and doing things like drinking fertility tea. I treated my body really really well. Now I'm lucky if half of my calories don't come from food my son is refusing so I eat it.
