If one diaper has an issue, its more likely they all will because they would have been cared for and washed the same way.</p> <p>That being said, most of our stash is 4.0s. But, I LOVE my Elementals and tolerate my 4.0s. I don't like the inserts at all. And then when LO goes to daycare, she'd be in disposables for those 8 hours/day. Which means I only need a larger stash in the beginning, as I was hoping I'd have 10+ Freetimes for the non-daycare hours...because we'd be combo diapering. </p> <p>I've been pricing out used Elementals and they're still coming in at around $17-20. Used 3.0's and 4.0s, however, can be purchased on Craigslist, locally, for about $6/diaper. One lady in particular is selling a lot of 40+ diapers for $250. I wasn't initially going to go the pocket diaper route because it's extra work...but if it's primarily for a) while I'm on maternity leave and b) back up diapers, it's not that big of a deal, is it? </p> <p>Worth it? </p> <p>(she did mention that a couple of them need new velcro, but that's an easy fix. And even if 10 of them are 'bad', 30+ good ones are an awful lot of diapers!) </p>
