We live in the city on public transportation, so as it is, we take the car out less than once a week. We also have street parking, so especially when it snows, we don't like to give up our parking spot. DH drives a massive truck that I can't drive (or at least refuse to because I know I'll wreck it). He hadn't renewed his registration yet so he was taking the car I drive to work every day which left me essentially unable to go anywhere. DH and I work together, have mutual friends and both of our parents live in the same neighborhood so we take one car together everywhere.
