We recently switched it out to one that does have one, the MagnaLatch Alert. It was very easy to switch them out, though, since our original latch was also a MagnaLatch, just not one with an alarm. There is an entrance to our garage and then our garage has an entrance to the pool, which we keep locked. The 4 year old can swim across the short length of the pool (it isn't pretty). There is no way for them to get into the fenced in area of it is properly latched. I am also very paranoid about this as it seems to happen every summer that some kids even those who know how to swim, manage to get into a pool unsupervised with horrible consequences. Our complex has a pool but we are moving soon and will be house hunting very soon and I've been adamant about avoiding a pool just because of how paranoid I am. There is only one access to that area, directly from our house, and we keep that locked. I'm getting increasingly paranoid that one of my kids is going to get into the pool area without us. We have a 4 year old who on the surface is rather responsible and listens well, but accidents happen. And our 19mo....yeesh. </p> <p>Does anyone have an alarm system for their pool that they would recommend? I am looking at some on Amazon.</p> <p>Thanks </p>
