She had 4 terribly nasty poops today, but by the last one, the consistency was almost back to normal and she stopped with the SBD farts by lunch time. I think their gut is just maturing and getting used to solids. She went through a crazy stopped-up phase too where she didn't poop for days, then she'd have a massive explosion (NOT constiptation poop), then not poop for days again. But yeah, she had some crazy farts.. some lasted for several seconds... we'd say "she's gripping it and ripping it". She grew out of it! While we were on our week-long vacation, K started have THE.WORST.GAS. I mean, she could compete with the fattest, stinkiest guy you know! There were power farts and SBD farts. And it's frequent. I felt so sorry for the people around us on the plane! </p> <p>I thought maybe constipation, but she did poop almost every day. Though, it was the first time in her life she missed pooping in a day!</p> <p>My thought was that it's because of traveling. Though it could be because of solids? We actually didn't end up feeding her much solids at all (and she was only getting about 2 tablespoons of solid a day anyway). She is still mainly EBF, we haven't dropped any sessions.</p> <p>This morning, our first day back, she pooped massively TWICE already! I figure it must have been all backed up from travleling. But it is horrible-smelling! And just totally different consistency! Gross. She definitely doesn't eat enough solids to produce poop like this I'd think! DH thinks she must not be agreeing with something in my diet. Dairy or wheat? If your LO can't tolerate dairy or wheat, does this sound familiar? </p> <p>Oh man... I can't believe I just wrote a book on poop and gas. </p>
