@Truth Bombs: It's an in home daycare so no director but I did make a big deal out of it to the owner. The potential for allergy or reaction is really frustrating because if LO did get a rash or something we would think it was associated with the illness and have no clue it was food related at all.

I'm also curious, why the woman didn't notice that my baby doesn't know how to eat? This wasn't carrot puree based on the chunks in the diaper. Seems like you'd have to work pretty hard to get even an enthusiastic eater to eat pieces of carrot as a first food.

@Corduroy: I would be meeting with the director on this. I would be much more upset about the fact that they tried to hide it than the fact that it happened. What if he had an allergic reaction and you didn't know what he had consumed??

Wow. This would make me ragey, especially since they tried to hide it (it seems) Good job catching it.

@Corduroy: Glad you figured it out. A little concerning that there was a mix up, but also relieving that it's just carrots/sweet potatoes. Hopefully they get their shit together!!

Got my answer. One of the ladies admitted to mistakenly feeding my baby another baby's food (carrots and sweet potatoes) yesterday. Then another corrected her. Frustrating because I talked to both of them at pick up.

But to add, i've seen odd things come out in EBF diapers when they are sick.

Hmmm if you think daycare started him on solids that would be concerning.

DS is almost 6 months, EBF. He was diagnosed with an ear infection yesterday but we have not started antibiotics yet. He has had Tylenol to help with the earache.

This morning there were orangish solids in his diaper. It looked like carrots. I suspected daycare tried to feed him since he's been fussy. They denied it vehemently according to DH.

What else would look like carrot chunks?
