And I'm actually one of those bad mom's who try to get my kid to watch tv.... when I have a migraine it's hard to entertain her so I'm looking forward to the day I can sit her in front of the tv.</p> <p>For long car rides I just bring toys and sit in the back with her. She'll either play with a toy (usually I'll buy something new that she hasn't seen before) or we'll sing. She'll scream bloody murder from the time she's in there until she gets out or falls asleep. </p> <p>We're taking a 3.5 hour car trip in a couple of weeks and I thought having a DVD player might help to distract her from the fact that she's in a car. </p> <p>Do you have one? If so, what brand do you use. </p> <p>If you don't have one, what would you recommend we do to keep her happy on the trip? </p>
