I also really like walking along the waterfront during the summers. The kids love riding the street cars. The train at the zoo which takes you from the zoo to the rose garden and vice versa is a favorite of ours as well. There are plenty of gardens that we've yet to visit ourselves. We just went to the japanese garden this past weekend - gorgeous!

We'd be up for a meetup as well. We live in the NE.

I vote for the zoo, OMSI, Portland's Children Museum, roller skating at Oaks Park, and out my way is the Oregon Garden in Silverton.

I'd be up for a meet up if you have enough time, wall me and have fun! :)

OMSI is awesome, we enjoyed the trains at The Heritage museum and that is free, Three Oaks park and the sellwood area in general is great. There are some great kid friendly places like Cafe Au Play and Jam on Hawthorne too. Wall me if you wanna meet for tea or have time. I live in SE

Enjoy Portland!

I second the zoo & the rose garden. I also like the Japanese Garden; there would be lots of interesting things to look at and room to wiggle and move. :) If I still lived in the area, I would definitely get Vi & the boys together, but sadly, I'm on the other side of the country now.

The Rose Test Garden is nice, and free. They have a great zoo there, too.

We're going to be in Portland for a week in August for SIL's wedding.

Bees from Portland - what are some good places to take a toddler to burn time? Children's museums, parks, etc.

Also, any resturant reccommendations (that are ok for bringing a toddler along)?

Also... meet up?!?! :)
