My mom stayed at our house and she's our primary caregiver so we didn't have any hesitations about our trip. He did great and we loved our time away. We texted a lot w my mom and sent pics back and forth but dh and I both thoroughly enjoyed having some time alone together and my parents loved the extra bonding time!</p> <p>We just came back from our second trip away 4 days and Ds is 2.5 now and we facetimed a lot and missed him but we all had a good time! I left LO with my parents for the five days in between. She had a blast.</p> <p>A few months later DH &amp; I went on vacation across the country for six days. We left LO with my visiting in laws. We missed her crazy of course but we had SO MUCH FUN. It was an awesome trip. LO is almost two, and our moms will be taking turns staying at our house with her, so I know rationally we've done the best set up we can, but I'm just really having a hard time now that we are so close to our departure.
