I have been wearing a girdle for 8-10 hours a day (i bought a squeem miracle something or other on amazon...) everyone keeps commenting how i dont look like i had a baby 2 weeks ago, but i still cant fit into any pre-pregnancy clothes, so theyre probably just fluffing my ego.

I loved my body before baby, but I hate my body now. It's been a year, and I cringe every time I look in the mirror. It's really not that bad, mainly my stomach. I just wish I could fit into all of my old clothes again. I'm slowly learning to accept my new body and buy clothes for the new me.

@mrsjazz: I'm using BioOil too! I'm curious to see if it works.

I'm 10 weeks PP and in my prepregnancy clothes but my tummy is definitely still present. I'm thinking about doing Jillian Michaels to help out. ;)

I still feel pretty blah about my body pp but am trying to cut myself some slack after the crazy ride of pregnancy and delivery. The thing I found super helpful was a postpartum abdominal wrap. My friend told me to ask the hospital for one before I discharged (to save money!). I didn't wear it the first 2-3 weeks since my belly was sore from the c-section and it felt really uncomfortable. After that my mom said I have to wear it or I'll never get my shape back so she reminded me everyday to put it on. I'll miss days here and there and I hated wearing it, but I really think that's the reason my belly isn't loosey-goosey like everyone told me it would. It was very flabby before I used it and now, it really isn't bad! Mom explained that since my skin was all stretched out from pregnancy that without it, my skin didn't have a chance of tightening up on its own. She told me wearing it helped push everything inside a bit tighter and gave my skin a chance to shrink back without the pressure of all the organs pushing on it. Not sure if she's right but whether it is or not, my stomach definitely isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Now if only I can motivate myself and find time to exercise, I'd be even happier!

I try not to think about my stomach. Also, I'm pretty sure there's something seems to be freakishly wrong with my belly button, it has a balloonish lump in it? I know it didn't look like this after my first kid.

@Minnie_Girl: it's just my body, everything is a trigger. Weather, rain, fronts, heat, cold, certain food, alcohol, bright light, loud noise, strong smells, weight on my shoulders, hunger, crying, etc. I obviously can't stay away from all those things, but if I can, I do.

I have heard amazing things about them and have seen the results in my best friend who had twins. They also have toning cream and lots of health foods....totally worth looking into. If you can find some before and after photos, they're amazing!

I'm one of those jerks that only looked 7 mos. pregnant when I delivered, belly button never popped, never got stretch marks, left the hospital not looking pregnant and was in my pre pregnancy jeans 2 weeks postpartum. However, my boobs are gigantic and covered in stretch marks (now 4.5 weeks pp), and I hate the way they look. I'm BF and trying to remind myself to be patient and eventually the marks will fade. I think it's important to cut our bodies some slack and be kind to ourselves after the huge feat of growing, carrying and delivering a baby.

To be honest only around 5 months pp I felt more like "myself", even though I was back in my old clothes by 2-ish months in terms of size. One thing that helped in the beginning was a girdle. Now I do a mommy-baby yoga class and that is fantastic.

@mrsjazz: Lol A raisin is the perfect way to describe my belly too! I always thought the issue would be getting it flat again, I had no idea that skin would lose the tension and create this odd look.

I am a little over 3 weeks post partum and my belly looks like a raisin. It's gotten pretty flat but it just looks weird. The stretchmarks look worse now so I know what you're going through. I'm using Bio-oil in the hopes it will do something.

I'm still pregnant, but ran into a book today at the library about loving your body after baby (and exercise/food tips as well). I'm writing to 'tag' this thread so I can look back!

eta - as far as stretch marks, I'm not sure..I got horrendous ones during puberty for some reason on my inner thighs and right above my hips (on my sides). i used stretch mark cream but the only thing that I noticed helping was time - they faded and now they're the same color as my skin, but still there.

How do yo u feel about your post baby body and what exercises or products helped you get your body back in shape.
RIght now I hate looking at my belly, I know its been less than 3 weeks since the surgery but just as I suspected I have this huge ring of stretch marks going all around my belly button, it wasnt very noticeable while my belly was big, but now with the extra skin its very noticeable. In addition even though my belly has shrunk to almost my pre baby size, it is soft in flabby and in a perpetual bloated weird shape.. I know with time it will get better or I will get used to it but for the mean time it bugs me!

Has anyone had any luck with products that fade stretch marks?
