I was never really a napper before having my baby. I still don't nap much, but when I'm super tired I do! It's amazing what a 10-30 minute nap will do for me.

Everyone says to sleep when the baby is sleeping.... but I'm such a heavy sleeping I'm too scared! She could be screaming her lungs out and I won't wake up. But sometimes just lying down is nice too.

I am the same way. Once the baby goes down I suddenly find a million things I want to get done or just have some alone veg out time.

Someone recommended setting a timer once baby goes to sleep and letting yourself do chores/whatever for 10 minutes but once the timer goes off you have to lay down and close your eyes.

Have any of you found that after having a baby you can longer nap? I'll sometimes find a good hour or two block where I'd love to lie down and sleep. I can lay down, but my mind won't shut off and actually sleep. It drives me crazy! Anyone else?
