Left behind some tissue from the D&amp;C and I started having contractions so badly I couldn't speak through them and was vomiting. HUGE clots. Didn't end up needing another D&amp;C because I passed the last of it while in the ER waiting to be seen.<br /> It was scary but totally fine in the end. If you are losing a lot of blood and there are clots, this sounds like it could be retained placenta. Make sure you monitor how much you are bleeding and go into urgent care or ER if you are filling a pad in an hour. I had only mild bleeding after my D&amp;C but then 10 days later, I started having heavy bleeding, clots, and a ton of pain. I got an ultrasound and it turned out I had some retained tissue. I didn't end up needing another D&amp;C but they thought I might at first. It took another week for the bleeding to stop after that (so 3 weeks post-D&amp;C was when I was finally done). But no blacking out or anything quite so scary. I even blacked out in the shower and I'm pretty light headed.</p> <p>I had my blood drawn for a blood count and iron check so I'm waiting on the results. Does this seem normal?? Has anyone else had a similar experience? </p>
