So sorry you're going through this. After my loss I had a very light period at exactly 4 weeks, stopped bleeding for 10 days with good mucus towards the end, spotted for 15 days straight, stopped spotting with no mucus, and then finally got a normal af almost 10 weeks after the m/c. I know, for me at least, it feels like things won't be OK until I'm pregnant again, particularly at the beginning it felt desperate, but your body may be out of whack for a while and still be totally OK. Waiting still sucks, though.

@LCTBQE: I had a ton of mucus post D&C, too, and my doctor mentioned how it was related to the placenta starting to form. I didn’t ask for more detail since I was kinda grossed out/bummed out by it.

I just got my first post D&C cycle back a couple weeks ago and it was 33 days after my D&C. I actually posed a similar question on here and then my period started out of nowhere like an hour later. Hope things return to normal for you soon!

@Stardust17: sorry for your loss  I remember after my D&C being *extremely* impatient for my period to come back, too. Mine came back after 4 weeks but from a lot of reading about this on HB, I think it's pretty typical for it to take anywhere from 4-8 weeks? hang in there. also FWIW/possible warning, that first period was fucking *weird*-- for me it was really light and kept starting and stopping and lasted like 8 or 9 days, whereas usually mine are heavy and last for 4. ETA I also had EWCM immediately after the D&C, still not sure whether I actually ovulated or if it was my body just processing a million hormones. so many of us have been through this, you will get through it too

@Stardust17: First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. Most people I know have gotten their AF about 5-6 weeks post D&C.

I had a D&C on 12/28/17 and finally got a negative HCG test 1/22/18 (the only time I think I’ve ever been happy to get that bc it means we can start trying again). However, I still haven’t started my period. I have been having what I would consider ovulation like discharge (EWCM) for over a week. I’m scheduled for my annual this coming Monday and will definitely address it but has anyone else experienced this?? How long until your cycle returned? Did you require any intervention such as Provera to restart your cycle?

Thanks!
