@winniebee: Thanks, lady. I'm doing ok... though tired of going through this again. But now my eggs are legit old so I guess this being another journey shouldn't come as a surprise.

I didn’t have a level drawn at the time but 7.5 seems reasonable. When i got my period at 6w post d&c i still had a faint positive wondfo. It was all gone that i could see by the time i ovulated again.

It’s so annoying, hugs to you.

I miscarried 11/17/17, but didn't have a d&c. I had bloodwork right before Christmas (~5.5 weeks post) that showed residual HCG (I can't remember exactly what the level was), but repeated bloodwork on 1/9 (~7.5 weeks post) and was at zero. I also thought for sure that something was wrong because I started spotting on 1/3 and was kind of freaking out before the appointment on the 9th. In the end I spotted for two weeks and it never turned into anything and I didn't pass any tissue.

So sorry you're going through this. A level of 7.5 does make it sound a lot more likely that your body's just taking its time this time.

@mfa_lady: Thanks, lady. Yikes! That has been my concern... especially with my history of retained tissue after A's birth...

@Shantuck: Hey friend. I had a similar experience after a natural (but missed) miscarriage. I kept getting faintly positive HPTs for months after, and eventually ended up in the ER with severe cramping and bleeding. An ultrasound didn't show anything but a week or so after that incident I passed a fair amount of tissue. I hope this doesn't happen to you, but wanted to share just in case. Big hugs!

The nurse who called me earlier either misread my numbers or I misheard but I guess the value was 7.5 rather than 75 so that's much better. But wow, this is still taking awhile....

@Shantuck: I did the tests at home for my own reassurance.

I believe the ultrasound was a few days after, and then they has me come back (there was still "debris"... terrible wording) the next week.

After my first miscarriage they scheduled no follow up and my doctor went away for 2 weeks. I went to the ER and asked for an ultrasound and was basically having a melt down so they did it. The second miscarriage, I asked for a follow up ultrasound within a few days so they booked it for me.

@Mrs. Champagne: Did you test at home or go in for betas? I haven't done an ultrasound as part of the post-D&C care (last one I had was when I was still pregnant). Was that part of the normal course of treatment at your doctor's office?

I tested until I got a negative test... I think it took a few weeks for both miscarriages (I had medically assisted ones after a missed miscarriage). I'd ask your doc for another ultrasound. For my second MC they could see blood still "swirling around" but not tissue. Good luck!

I had a D&C on 12/12/17 and went in on 12/27 for a post-op check and bloodwork. At that appointment, my HCG levels had dropped to about 475. My first D&C period arrived on 1/14 and instead of wasting time and money going in for weekly beta blood draws, I took a few HPTs until the lines on the wondfos got super faint. I then went in 6.5 weeks after the D&C for a blood draw (4.5 weeks after the prior draw) and my levels are still at 75 mIU. This is my third loss and with the prior two, my levels were under 5 when tested 4 weeks post D&C. I'm just wondering if others who have had D&Cs have taken this long for HCG levels to zero out. I know every body is different but this seems like a long amount of time to have lingering HCG levels and I can't help but worry about retained tissue, etc....
