@Chloesmommie: I insisted that my OB run a full panel of hormone tests after trying for about 4 months. I've felt kind of off since my first child was born 3 years ago and thought maybe something was off. I wanted to rule out thyroid problems or a Vitamin D deficiency... didn't really know what any of this other stuff was at the time. They referred me to a RE at that point and I met the RE but then got a positive pregnancy test the next day. The RE wanted to run the tests out of his office and we left it that I would call after my next period. If this month doesn't work out, I'm going to call and get everything scheduled.

@Shantuck: How did you find out AMH and FSH? were they testing for that? Ive only been testing for thyroid and progesterone, but I requested that. Im also 33, so that could be why they won't do any further testing. Oh well. Thanks for talking with me!

@Chloesmommie: They say you are more fertile after a miscarriage so hoping that's true. A couple weeks before finding out I was pregnant I found out that I had low AMH and slightly high FSH and I recently turned 35 so that's why I'm particularly concerned with egg quality. I'm taking a prenatal, coQ10, B-complex, myo-inositol, Chinese herbs, fish oil and DHEA (that's for the low AMH). I'm supposed to go to an RE's office to see if my off readings were legit or just a fluke but I've been too afraid to get my hormones retested. I don't want any more bad news and I'm not sure my hormones have regulated yet.

@Shantuck: It is very isolating, but I've been trying to focus on moving forward and taking a few supplements too to improve certain things and improve egg quality. With #1 it took 3 cycles of temping and all the charting things you can do and BDing ALOT. haha. #2 was 4 cycles :( Im praying that we get lucky right away after AF shows up, but if not, We will keep on keepin on...... I have heard great things about acupuncture. Im glad its helping regulate your cycle! Do you mind if I ask what supplements you are taking? Im always curious what other TTCers take especially after a MC. I started taking Evening primrose oil CD1-O, Red raspberry leaf tea CD1-O, and CoQ10 everyday :) I hope we both get a sticky baby soon!!!

@Chloesmommie: Agreed. This whole experience has been so isolating and all the waiting is brutal. With LO1, we got pregnant right away and everything went smoothly. Getting pregnant with LO2 took 5 months and then the miscarriage occurred and then even more waiting! We tried the cycle after the miscarriage but I didn't really have high expectations given the crazy hormones. I'm charting and I've been doing acupuncture and I can say that my temps have been much more consistent this month than past months so I'm hopeful things are regulating (like maybe the miscarriage was a reset on my system). I'm just trying to focus on eating well, taking my supplements, reducing caffeine and alcohol, etc. to improve egg quality.

@Shantuck: Thank you so much for replying! Yeah i used to O around cd15-17. This waiting sucks SOOOOOO bad. I keep going back and forth on trying now or waiting..Ugh. Its the worst. I glad you got a high reading! and I hope your peak is right around the corner, with a sticky BFP!!! You're right stress can delay O too. Hopefully it won't delay it too much! FX for you! I wish the TTC after loss board was more active. I mean, more talkative for my sanity, Not more people with MC. It helps me to read along with people on my same journey.

@Chloesmommie: Sorry to hear about your loss. I think I ovulated on day 21 in that post-miscarriage cycle (I used to ovulate day 16 or 17). I never did get a positive reading on the monitor but I think I probably should have reset it and I'm sure my hormone levels were off. AF ended up coming 9 days after ovulation (which made for a 28 day cycle). I've never had that short of a luteal phase before but I know the post-miscarriage cycle doesn't really count. I'm now on CD16 of my first cycle after AF came and just got my first "high" reading. This is late for me so I think my cycle may still be slightly off for me but I think I'm at least getting closer to normal (it may also be late because I have been dealing with some crazy work-related stress). Good luck. I hope things return to normal for you soon and you get a sticky baby in the near future.

@Shantuck: Hey! Im so so sorry for your loss.....I wanted to check in on you and see how your post MC cycle went? Im on cd14 from my natural MC at 6w3d. I haven't used my monitor this cycle but I am temping and checking CP, CM and using OPK's. My system is all out of whack. Temps have been my pre O and have not been all over the place, which i guess is a good sign. Just wondering if I WILL O or not and WHEN will AF get here :(

Totally possible. Fwiw the cycle after my loss the readings on my monitor were all out of whack and only my temps showed ovulation (eventually). I'd keep BD every other day though just in case you haven't ovulated yet and another temp rise is around the corner. Good luck :goodluck:

The first month I used my monitor I got some highs but never a peak. I agree with @kiddosc, try taking out your monitor readings and I bet you'll get crosshairs soon.

@Shantuck: you'll get crosshairs without a vip membership. Take the fertility monitor info out and I bet they'll show up,

I'm probably not getting crosshairs because I no longer have a VIP membership to fertility friend. The fertility monitor is like an opk but gives you advance warning (a high reading before a peak reading) because it also tracks estrogen levels. I'm sure my hormone levels are wonky and I understand that it gets to know your levels over time so perhaps it really was a waste to use it this month.

I think it's a possibility. If you took out the fertility monitor data, I bet that FF would show a crosshairs for you. I don't know much about the fertility monitors though and how likely it is that they wouldn't detect a fertile window.

I miscarried naturally at 7 weeks on June 23rd and I've gotten the clear to try again (hcg levels are back to zero). I read warnings about not charting or using the fertility monitor in the post-miscarriage cycle (prior to my first period after the miscarriage) but I am eager to get pregnant again. Anyways, not surprisingly my temps have been jumping all over the place but it does look like maybe I ovulated on Monday 7/21. It's confusing because my fertility monitor has said low fertility all month. Do others agree? Did I likely ovulate on Monday 7/21 based on the attached chart?
