I also had no appetite! I think it took me about 3 weeks to become ravenously hungry. Then I was for like a month! Now I'm back to pre-preg appetite

I'm only just starting to get my appetite back 6 weeks pp. I did have nausea but only when I was on strong pain meds after my c section. If you're on any meds, could they be causing the nausea? Or just sheer tiredness...

Absolutely, especially while breastfeeding. Sorry to say that at 15 months it's not perfect, though certainly not bad any more. It's just some sort of shitty hormonal thing. I manage to have a huge appetite in between times, though, and have gained weight breastfeeding. Boo!

I had no appetite in the beginning and just drank lots of water. My appetite came back with a vengeance after a few weeks though.

I didn't have much of an appetite... and honestly, I'm 7 months in and still don't have much of one. A few nights a week I will get CRAZY hungry right after LO goes down for bed. Other than that I could skip meals. I don't get super thirsty either, though I try to make myself drink something.

for the first month i had zero appetite. i dropped back to pre-preg weight in two weeks, i had to force myself to eat. even now, i still have to force myself to eat more. eating has become more functional in order to produce milk than something i enjoy. which sucks because eating was a hobby that DH and I both enjoyed. like @TurtleDoves, i eat a lot less than i used to pre-pregnancy.

@highwire: I have zero appetite. And basically, even if I am hungry, it's never like "OMG I'M STARVING" like it was when I was pregnant. In fact, I forget to eat and when I remember, I have no time. As far as hormones go, I think my hormones have come a long way, I'm 8.5pp, but not 100% back to normal. So, that may play a part. But seriously, I eat less than I ever did prebaby and prepregnancy.
By the way: I wrote on your wall about supply issues;)

@hilsy85: I agree! I make myself drink water because on the days I don't, I see a HUGE dip in my supply.

@prettylizy: thanks! I'm having trouble with milk supply so my lactation consultant said I needed to eat 5x a day and I just don't have the appetite for that! Grabbing a smoothie to try and get some calories in...

I had no appetite for the first month either. I forced myself to eat, but I secretly considered it a diet since I'm always hungry and just went with it. My appetite came back after my hormones leveled out.

I always heard that my hunger and thirst would be off the charts whole breastfeeding, but that hasn't been the case for me. I have no appetite and I'm extremely nauseous. I'm also struggling with some PPD so maybe that is why this is going on. Anyone else had trouble eating/drinking post partum?
