I bought the overnight pads and used them for about two days before I was utterly frustrated with them and sent my husband to get me some regular ultra thin pads. According to the nurses my bleeding post c-section was on the light side of normal. The overnight pads as long as your arm were just more than I needed.

I guess overnight pads are a must! I was thinking I could just get away with my regular ultra thin pads, but now I'm thinking picking up some overnight kind may be helpful!

The only thing I'd suggest buying ahead of time is overnight pads for when you run out of the ones the hospital gives you. I got the dermaplast, pads/gauze underwear, peri bottle, and a prescription for colace from the hospital.

I bought nothing since our LO came early but the only thing I would have needed is the overnight pads. I just sent my mom to get them one day on her way to the hospital though.

Glad to see I'm not the only one wondering about this... In the next few weeks I'll be picking up pads, but I think I'll be leaving it at that. Not sure what the procedure is in Ontario for the hospital giving you things (I've heard you must supply your own everything), but I suppose I'll find out in about 6 weeks.

I had a bad tear so I used a lot of stuff, but got everything I needed at the hospital. Plus, if you do need things chances are you'll be sending people out for stuff anyway that you forgot or didn't realize you needed.

i didn't buy anything except overnight pads because you'll need that whether you have a vaginal birth or c section. my hospital gave a lot of stuff in their goodie bags so i didn't have to buy much. you can def wait until after baby is here to see what you need. we had to make a drugstore run after olive was born... there's always something you forget anyway!

Recovery is different for every woman. I only needed pads (just the overnight ones), and everything else was provided by the hospital. You will most likely need to go to the store after you come from the hospital to pick up things that you didn't think you needed prior.

I bought everything ahead of time but I got just about everything I needed free from the hospital. Just make sure to grab everything you can from there and ask for extras and you should be all set. I think the only thing they didn't give me was stool softeners. I would recommend picking up a bottle of that!!

I'm due in February so I've been trying to be a good egg and read up on stuff esp. post-partum recovery etc.

Is it really worth it to stock up on all those supplies ahead of time?

It seems like everyone has their recommendations about products to buy like TUCKS pads/wipes etc.

But, I don't want to end up buying a ton of stuff when I won't really know what I will need or use.

Did you buy your post-partum recovery products ahead of time? Are you glad you did? and If you had to absolutely recommend one product what would it be?
