@Beebug: small sling-world!! haha, nice sling, too! :D

There are some good videos on YouTube, but basically you fold the sling in half (skinny-wise, fold it into itself), and then your LO goes in and has a little pouch to sit in. Your LO's bum goes against one edge of the sling, and then the rest of the fabric you pull up over their back. and adjust over your shoulder. It's actually *really secure* feeling, they basically end up with a little seat of fabric, and are tucked in close against you. Very comfortable for mama too.

The videos are probably easier than my explanation! :D

Regardless of "scientific" studies, the ergo carrier is simply not designed for a front-facing carry. I'm amazed you were able to read the instructions and missed that part- or maybe I'm just amazed that you were able to get that thing on with baby in it without reading the instructions! I had to watch you tube videos to use mine, haha!

@sslm: There are a TON of ways to wear a moby! You can even improvise a very safe and secure back hold, just google it.

Here is the hug hold, what I called the 'baby' hold. It's good for a few months on, when your baby can hold her head up really well:

http://www.mobywrap.com/mw/hug-hold.htm

And here is the newborn hold, for the very floppy snugly newborn phase:

http://www.mobywrap.com/mw/newborn-hug.htm

I had trouble learning from pictures - I would absolutely suggest that anyone eager to learn about babywearing get instruction from a friend, take a class, go to a shop and ask for help. The ways you fold a soft wrap are complex at first, and can be hard to learn just from a picture or video. But you master them quickly, and babywearing is awesome!

@yoursilverlining: How do you "do" that carry and she not fall out the bottom?

I was doing the "sitting cross legged frontward" carry as per the instruction pics here. Pardon her pouty-crying face, she had just finished having a meltdown and I was trying evvvvverything to chill her out, somehow....this worked, lol.

We also have the Beco Gemini....which we use the most, but pics of it would be pretty redundant to above! We love the outward facing position and use it the most! Zumba and baby class is so much fun with it! Her legs get in the way a bit, but I'm careful and she loves it!
