@charlotte: i have a similar plan, where I pay $35 per chiro visit and don't submit it to my insurance (my copay would be way higher!) I go about twice a week right now to try and fix this issue but don't know that I would need to keep that up long term. Maybe just a check up every six weeks or so.

@charlotte: I don't have insurance presently. My Chiropractor charges $35 per visit. He works with me about my plan. At this point I only go in for adjustments when I am feeling pain. I had looked into another one but they wanted me to come in 3x a week and charge me $90 a visit. I was like ummm no....I can't afford that nor do I want to. Anyhow I found the one I see now and I love him. Ask your primary care provider who they would recommend.

@mamabolt: glad to know there might be an end in sight!

@blackbird: @aprk: @MrsRcCar: I'm nervous to make a chiro appointment. I have friends who pay a lot now for long term "treatment plans" not covered by insurance and I don't want to get into that. but I would like a nice reputable one who can help me SOLVE this problem..not sign me up for life. how does yours work? how often do you go & is it covered by insurance??

I had back pain throughout my pregnancy and it was worse after I had N. The only thing that makes it better is going to see my Chiropractor. I still have pain and I am nearly 7mo pp. It has gotten better but not gone yet....

I've had horrible back pain too, mostly mid back around my shoulder. My chiro told me I popped a rib during delivery, so she is working on realigning me back to normal. I'm almost 3 weeks pp; sometimes it hurts so badly I have to just lay down. Motrin does nothing, and the Percocet they prescribed did nothing, so I threw them out. Stretching helps, as long as I'm consistent with it.

Hope relief comes soon for both of us!

Mine was killing me 5 days after delivery. I saw my chiropractor and got adjusted and got some stim put on my back (electric stimulation therapy) which forced all my muscles to relaxed. Felt like a new person!

Did you have back pain 6 weeks + after baby? Did it EVER go away? Any tips for dealing with it?

My back still hurts more than it ever did while pregnant. I'm wondering if this just the norm from carrying around an 11 pound baby and all his gear? My back KILLS every night...to the point where its totally miserable unless I take a pain pill. However, I am running out of those and don't really want to be a "user" the rest of my life! Motrin doesn't seem to help. :( I've never been to a chiropractor or dealt with this kind of thing before, so any tips are appreciated!
