Bump. I'm 12 days in, and it comes and goes. It seems to stop, but whenever I go for a walk (walked from car to inside ped's office), it starts picking up more heavily with clots. I asked my midwife about it on Tuesday, and she said its normal. Just wanted to see other's recent experiences!

At day 4 I'm wearing regular pads. Bleeding only picks up if I moving a lot but still wouldn't need more than regular pad.

I bled heavily for 5-7 days, then was in regular pads for 2 weeks. At 3 weeks, I was just in panty liners - for spotting and the peeing when I coughed. I was able to stop completely at 5 weeks or so.

Though, I still have some issues with the peeing (just a little now!) and I'm 12 weeks pp :(

I'm 14 days PP and I've been in regular pads since about 5 days PP. The first few days were heavy and bright red, then it tapered off. Some days it's a bit heavier than others but totally manageable with a regular pad at this point. Hope it tapers off quickly for you!!

I'm almost 4 weeks PP and it's really starting to taper off. Mine was heavy in the hospital but was much lighter by the time I went home (72 hours after birth).

I had 2 separate days this past week with no bleeding, but then I would need to wear a pad the next day. It's still very light though. I'm guessing I'll be done soon.

@LovelyPlum: Mine lasted for about 4-6 weeks, but I was wearing regular pads by day 3 or 4. Didn't need the whole stash of JUMBO ones I bought in prep. Oh...and isn't the peeing yourself the worst? Hopefully that stops soon!

@jill_a55: gotcha. Right now, my bigger issue than bleeding is that I keep coughing, and when I cough, I pee-a lot. So I've been gong through pads at an alarming rate because of that. Guess I should keep the options open, though. I hope yours stops soon!

@bushelandapeck: thanks. The ARE-I hate it when they stick to me!

@LovelyPlum: mine has gone back and forth, it was really light for a few days and I thought I could do reg. pads, but then it went back to heavy. I have a few different levels of pads that I use.

I think it was around 4-5 weeks for me to completely stop wearing liners or anything. I remember it being pretty heavy for the first few days and then only if I did too much that day. Otherwise, I was able to use the regular pads by 4-5days pp.

Question for you ladies-was it heavy the whole time? I thought it would be, but mine was only heavy so far for a day. I'm 48 hours PP, and it is way more pink than I thought it would be.

At 6 weeks I was finally able to stop wearing a pad. I still have some discharge occasionally when I wipe but it's safe to say it has stopped!

During the first few weeks any time I was especially active, I bled so heavily the following day.

It kind of came and went. Mine lasted at least 8 weeks, and my doctor said that was normal. Anything above 12 weeks was what she said she would be concerned about. She said there is just a wide range for that and it doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong.

How long did it last for you? Were you very active in the first couple weeks and do you think that had much to do with it?

I am 12 days PP today and am still bleeding quite a bit. I think it's because I was doing a lot today but kind of thought it would taper off by now.
