@MrsH: Did you do barre before pregnancy/while pregnant? I got into it after my LO was born (but like, long after - she's 2 now) and we're planning on TTC #2 this summer, but I'm hoping to keep up with it since I love it so much.

I'm doing barre. I'm apparently so out of shape that I almost puked during both classes I've done so far :(

I'm not cleared yet but I'm looking forward to getting back to Jillian Michaels DVDs and some yoga. I'd really like to run again too, but don't know how to handle the boobs. Ouch. I'm only 3 weeks post-partum, so we'll see how I feel once I have healed more. Right now, we are walking a lot -- it gets me out of the house and the baby looooooves his stroller.

I am amazed at your get-up-and-go! It's pretty much all I can do to get through the long days with my LO at the moment - he's very active and demanding. I'm cutting myself slack though and will start back at the gym at six months when he's weaned and it's a bit easier to leave him in the gym crèche or with his dad.

@ElbieKay: it's still early and you'll still have to take it easy at times like I say I'm on week 3 of working out and I'm almost 10 weeks pp and still have to take it easy at the gym sometimes

Well that backfired. I think I overdid it and was so tired i could barely function last night. My husband is going out tonight and can't cover for me with the baby. So, I'm taking today off and will do some more C25K tomorrow

I learned in yoga that my core has completely disappeared. *sob*

You're so ambitious! Running was so painful in the early days postpartum (ok until i weaned). I did barre for a month, then did crossfit, then herniated a disc, then went back tot he regular gym, and i go back to crossfit on MONDAY!

I had my checkup last week and am cleared for exercise! This morning I left the house at 5:30 and did the first day of Couch to 5K so that I would have time to shower, eat breakfast and pump before my husband needed to get ready for work. And my son and I are going to a "postnatal yoga bootcamp (babies welcome)" in an hour.

Tomorrow my parents can watch the baby. So, I will do the 30-Day Shred in the morning before my husband gets up and then another round of C25K when they get here.

What are you doing to get back into shape postpartum?
