Since you're looking at relaxing/pampering ideas maybe Mothers Milk Tea?

I was also going to say maybe a robe. Doesn't even have to be expensive or fancy - places like JC penney have the kind that are sort of fleecy. So so so soft and comfy. I lived in mine.

Mother Love Nipple Balm is pampering and practical.

Agree with easy one-handed snacks and a nice water bottle like Swell.

Aromatherapy? I had a PP Doula who was into aromatherapy and she mixed me a spray that I could spray on myself or my pillows when I felt stressed.

Does she already have Netflix? Maybe a 6 month membership or something.

Blowout? Is there a salon she likes? I liked getting out of the house for short things like that. Or a manicure? Here we have lots of on-demand services that will even come to your apt.

Living Proof dry shampoo

Lip balm

This is so sweet of you!
If she's worried about supply send her herblore nursing tincture (alcohol free). It helped my supply SO much. I recommended it to a friend and it helped her as well. Warn her that it tastes awful but if she mixes it with some Gatorade it's not too bad.

@Mrs. Microscope: those sound good. I'm not sure your budget, but I send Peapod delivery of healthy snacks (grapes, halos, cheese sticks, granola bars, sandwich stuff, cereal). We literally had no fresh food in our house the first three weeks and was so grateful when my SIL came over with grocery bags in tow.

@T.H.O.U.: @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I looked at pre-made cookies but they are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Like, $3 each. I do have some cute tins, so making and sending the cookies myself is a good idea. And the I will make them mspi friendly, because you never know (and my DD ended up being mspi)

Edible arrangements is also great! They have one of those stores close to their house, so I know it would be delivered fresh!

@Mrs. Microscope: What about even just a few of the good oatmeal cups. The ones you just add hot water to but aren't instant? Like what you'd buy at Starbucks but I know grocery stores carry them too.

You can totally ship cookies if you wanted to make them for her (hint hint). Cliff bars or something similar would also ship well and would be a quick/easy breakfast on the go.

@Mrs. Microscope: fenugreek pills (GNC has them- if you think she would take them). pretty post partum undies. do those even exist? A scented candle. She can't soak, but a whif of something nice is the next best thing.

@Mrs. Microscope: I loved an edible arrangement after I had DD. All I wanted was fresh fruit. A friend gave me a bunch of protein bars but I ended up having to go off soy and couldn't eat them. My milk didn't come in until day 5 so perhaps just some reassurance that it will come in.

OK, here is my amended current list based on suggestions. You are all great!

A variety pack of Kind bars
Anti skid fuzzy socks
Lactation tea
Lactation cookie mix (for her DH or mom to make her)

She is stressing about milk supply, so I wanted to acknowledge that, and send some support.

A small heating pad worked wonders for me. My lower back was just sore from compensating for my abs and having to sit up in the recliner with my babes (I had 2 C-sections). Having a heating pad when I was laying down was heaven.

An eye mask might be helpful.

A 10-foot iPhone cord.

Fuzzy socks - my feet got so cold being propped up on the recliner for hours.

I loved my zip-up duster robe. I could unzip for nursing and mine had a pocket so I could carry my phone and lip balm and hair ties.

@erinbaderin: @LBee: I guess I meant shower-able bath products! Scented shower melts, a body scrub and a nice lotion. I totally don't expect any postpartum mama to be submerged in a bath for a few weeks!

She does have a wrap, and I asked of she had tried it, and she hadn't, but was happy I told her it might work, since she hadn't thought of it.

She isn't scared to drink a glass of wine or a beer, even though she is nursing. One drink is fine by her (and was recommended by her IBCLC)

I wish I knew what size she is for pajamas. It's a great idea!

Do you know if she's nursing? She might not be comfortable drinking if she's nursing? And agreed, I was not allowed to take a bath until I stopped bleeding and it took 8 weeks. Maybe some snacks - Kind bars? A wrap so she can do things with a sleeping baby, an Amazon gift card so she can get a book for her Kindle.

Just as an FYI I bled for 6 weeks after my csection. Taking a bath wasn't on my radar for a really long time. I also was irrationally worried about submerging my incision.

I would send -- a swell bottle, Starbucks gift card, candy, a Redbox gift card + popcorn, dry shampoo, high thread count pajamas (such a luxury), and just a heart felt card reminding her she's not alone and you are just a phone call away. Does she have a wrap? That changed my life in the early days.

Hi ladies, a friend who lives in a different state just had her first baby, and she is feeling overwhelmed. She has a freezer stocked with meals, a helpful husband, both sets of parents helping clean and watch the dogs, but the lack of sleep and a baby who won't be put down has her feeling frazzled.

I want to send her a relax and rejuvenate care package so she can have some time for herself. So far I have a bottle of wine, and maybe some bath products for a at home spa experience. She is 3 days post c-section. Any ideas for an overwhelmed super new mama that I can send via mail? Thanks!
