@TurtleDoves: I have to keep that in mind. I wasn't 100% until probably close to 9 months with my first. This time I'm not running with the dogs until my stomach feels better for awhile, it just irritated those muscles too much last time.

@lilteacherbee: I had people asking at a week if I had started running yet. I just said I'm giving myself time to heal. But then when one of my sisters asked I'd had enough and just explained that there were still stitches in my hooha and that's what needed to heal more.

I'm interested in responses as well. My LO is just a week old tomorrow, but I know I'll be wondering for the future.

I didn't just have a baby; my son is 13m. But, when I started jogging at 4m PP, it was so hard! I felt like a 300lb person. My knees hurt, I was sore, I had zero stamina. It does get better though!! I think by about 7m pp, I was doing more strenuous workouts than I was before having baby.

Anyone else recently had a baby and slowly getting back into running and want to commiserate?

I'm just starting back and mentally I just want to go back to the way things were pre-pregnancy but my lower abs hurt if my stride is too long. I basically feel like I'm still 32 weeks pregnant when I'm jogging. This is my second LO so I know it's just how it is getting back into things but still frustrating not being able to quickly bounce back.
