Hey! I wore the same henley tanks almost every day I was on maternity leave and I really liked them with open cardigans. I have some from loft that are similar to this: http://www.loft.com/spacedye-waterfall-cardigan/356420?colorExplode=false&skuId=18004557&catid=catl000012&productPageType=search&defaultColor=4293

and this: http://www.loft.com/petite-textural-open-cardigan/361095?prodId=361095&defaultColor=3474&productPageType=search&colorExplode=false&skuId=17918275

OMG I am a hot milky mess too! I keep telling DH...I feel like I am covered in milk. When igo out, I wear leggings or skinny jeans and boots and a regular cami with a drapey cardigan. I just slip the straps off when I nurse--but I haven't had to nurse in any public places besides my car

I felt kind of frumpy the whole time I nursed. I liked the nursing camis from H&M, they layed flatter and smoother than the target ones. My usual uniform was a nursing tank and then either a tee, cardigan or sweater over it and skinny jeans. I really wanted nursing dresses, but just couldn't find any to my taste.

A nursing tank and a cardigan was my fav, with comfy pants. The merona cardigans from Target are my favorite.

It's so hard to dress postpartum!

My go to has been the Bravado body silk seamless nursing bra. It's very soft and stretchy and more flattering (I think) than a nursing tank. I wear that or a coobie bra (which can easily be pulled down) with a long tank top. I LOVE the liz lange maternity tanks from target. They don't look maternity but they are a little longer.

http://www.amazon.com/Bravado-Designs-Seamless-Nursing-Butterscotch/dp/B00B3HV3SW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428502051&sr=8-1&keywords=bravado+body+silk+seamless+nursing+bra

http://www.target.com/p/maternity-fashion-tank-top-liz-lange-for-target/-/A-16542746#prodSlot=large_1_4

I will wear the tank with a long cardigan and leggings. I like the boyfriend cardigans from Target.

For looking a little nicer, I really love these portofino shirts from express with a tank top + nursing bra underneath or you could wear a nursing tank under it. They are flattering and have buttons making nursing easier.

@avivoca: I second the Glamourmom tanks!

They are nice during that constant nursing phase where you don't want to mess with a shirt/nursing bra combo but need a little more support than the target tanks provide. I love that they offer really discreet coverage when nursing around other people. I also had a couple fleece tops like this that look a tiny bit more dressed up than the zip hoodie. Bonus is that you can sort of wrap them around the baby.

I found it better for me to just wear normal shirts that could lift up and a nice nursing bra underneath. Like a burnt out tee tucked in at the front with jeans. Easy to lift up!

I never found tanks I liked!

The GlamourMom tanks I had were the best! They are expensive (I borrowed mine from a friend but had to replace one when it got blood on it) and they were by far the nicest tanks that I had.

I never found nursing tanks that fit great - I wore them on maternity leave, but now I mostly just wear them to bed. I much prefer a nursing bra and a tami tank from Old Navy. The tami tanks are stretchy and pull down easily, so your stomach is still covered while nursing. They work so much better with my regular clothes than nursing tanks! (Wearing one right now, actually.)

You just described my uniform for the first six months of C's life, only with yoga pants instead of leggings. I even had that exact nursing tank (and I have seen it on so many other people!)

Do you have nursing bras that are comfy and for well? If so the old navy tami tank is easy to pull down to nurse in and looks less like a nursing top. The bravado nursing tanks fit a lot better than the target ones but are also more expensive- check babysteals before paying full price. They actually provided bra like support.

I agree that loose drapey cardigans look a little nicer than zip up hoodies. Or zip up sweaters. And look for other button neck tops- I got some at target that I could unbutton for nursing access by weren't "nursing tops".

I was surprised to find alot of tops at Old Navy when I was post-partum. The quality there seems hit or miss, so I went to the store and just tried a bunch. I ended up finding several styles that were stretchy enough to just pull down to nurse. I also wore alot of open front cardigans.

I wore a lot of drapey cardigans that I picked up a TJ Maxx or Target. They looked a little nicer, covered my pooch and worked well as a nursing cover.

I'm 5 weeks pp and in kind of a rut. I've been wearing basically the same outfit for 2 months at least straight. Black leggings, a henley nursing tank (at the end of pregnancy just a cami) and one of two nike zip up hoodies. I'm just feeling kind of gross and like I'm always nursig, so it's hard to want to put on a nursing bra and normal clothes when I leave the house. I love the henleys but they are kind of lumpy and look bad with anything besides a zip up over it. http://m.target.com/p/women-s-nursing-henley-cami-gilligan-o-malley/-/A-13957172

So can you reccomend some flat front nursing tanks? The Gillian O Malley Target ones don't fit well.

Also what about some easy open long sleeve tips that look a little nicer than a standard athletic hoodie.

I love Gap, and have started shopping at Target more. Besides Jcrew and jeans from Nordstrom I don't shop for clothes anywhere else so I don't know if I'm missing out on a brand I may like.

Thank you. I'm a hot (milky) mess and need to leave the house a few times a week.

ETA I don't mind investing a bit in a few pieces since I will only be working part time and hopefully nursing for a year.
