We started potty training him (he's 2 years old) and we keep it low pressure too. We'll ask him if he needs to potty and he'll say yes. But when we put him on the toilet, he says no! ARG. I don't know what he's trying to tell us! I don't force him though. He's pee'd a few times in the potty already so I figure he's just taking his time.

My babe (almost 19 mos) is not potty trained yet, but he knows what it's about. One thing I think has really helped is talking up the potty a lot. Or letting him come in when we go and telling him that we use the potty and we don't wear diapers, and when he uses the potty he can stop wearing diapers too.

We keep it low pressure but let him sit on it whenever he's open to the idea and that's where he can read his potty book which he loves (potty, by leslie patricelli). He has started saying poo poo and letting us know when he needs to go. For some odd reason, he has pooped in the potty a bunch of times but only peed in there once or twice. I'm not complaining though!!

My son is now 15 months old. He tugs at his diapers when he is wet. I would lik to start potty learning him. I want him to ask to go to the bathroom and go on the potty occasionally. I expect to keep him in diapers for a while longer still.

I would like some tips and ideas on how to get him to be successful on the potty. For example, right now we put him on 2 -3 times a day (before and after daycare) but he has only gone twice in the last month. How can we encourage him to go?

Is there something we can boot camp on the weekend (I understand it is early and am not looking for out of diapers in that weekend just more success)?

How should I coordinate with daycare?
