@catlady: I think for those that use the 3 day met this, day 2 is supposedly the worst. Hang in there!

Well so far today hasn't been going too well. We put pants on her today (no undies yet) and she's already had three accidents this morning, which is more than the whole day yesterday. We were planning on introducing undies after her nap and I'm hoping that telling her to keep them dry will be incentive enough. (We haven't been giving her candy or anything, and I think she's starting to become annoyed by all the potty going).

We did wait for a three day weekend, but it actually didn't take the entire weekend...one day in underwear and he only had one accident. The next day he had none...I say go for it!

@catlady: @MrsSRS: we have the same peeing very frequently thing going. I am trying to get her to sit longer but it's hard. Plus every time she pees she gets an M&M so truthfully I think she would rather go more often, but she is so proud of herself I figure it will just sort itself out. Plus I did give her a lot of coconut water which makes you pee.

We may have to go out tomorrow and I will probably give her a pull up for the car. Hopefully it doesn't derail anything.

@catlady: Sometimes encouraging then to sit longer fixes that. Sometimes the every 10 minutes thing is because they aren't emptying fully.

@Foodnerd81: We did, and so far, it's going better than I expected. I feel like she's already mostly gotten the hang of it. Only problem is that she apparently needs to pee like every 10 min. We're never going to be able to leave the house. Lol. Glad it's going well for you too!

@catlady: did you go for it?? We started today and so far it's going better than I expected, but I sah so I'll still be with her on Monday, just will be dealing with toddler potty stuff and baby nursing and going to sleep at the same time. But we are going away Memorial Day weekend so there wasn't going to be a better time. Hope it's going well!

we did it on a 2-day weekend instead of a 3-day because there was no 3-day weekend for a while. my LO was about 33 months old (or 34?). we did bare bottom the first day, then underwear the next day, and monday we sent him to daycare with lots of changes of clothes and told the teachers to make him go every hour. it worked out fine. "fine", meaning it's 6 months later and he still has the occasional accident and we still don't trust him to always go on his own, but yeah, he's potty trained.

I would do it. I think if your child is showing signs of readiness, they'll just do it. We trained at 34 months and really only had one day where we stayed home and I reminded him all day. I put him in pull ups for long car rides for a little while after but we didn't really even have to do a method!

@catlady: We did the "Oh Crap Potty Training" method with our daughter at about 28 months. We did one day totally bottomless, then the next morning just pants, and that afternoon she was in undies. Still Pull-ups for naps and bedtime. Treats for going on the potty.

We did it over a 3 day weekend but she was pretty much trained by the afternoon of day 2. So I think you could try, especially since she seems ready.

Undies with Dora and Minnie Mouse were huge motivators for my DD.

My 31 month old has been showing signs of readiness for potty training for awhile now, and we were planning on waiting for the Memorial Day long weekend to do a 3 day method. She was already using her little potty at least once at home most days, but never at daycare. This week though, we found out that two of her daycare friends were potty trained last weekend and since then she has been going at least once at daycare each day, and twice at home (AM/PM). She has no trouble with either peeing or pooping in the potty.

Is it crazy to try to train her this weekend (i.e. over only 2 days) to take advantage of this momentum? I'm worried that by waiting 2.5 more weeks, she won't be as excited about it anymore and it might be harder. She keeps talking about how her friends have "undies" and she wants them, too. Lol.

Any tips for doing it over 2 days instead of 3?
