@Sweet T:

Is your LO a boy or girl? Girl

How old were they when you potty trained? 24 months

Did you use any special methods? 3 day potty method worked awesome for us. Two days of nonstop accidents and I wanted to give up so badly. We were getting half accidents/half potty on day 2 so it wasn't as bad. By day 3 she was going pee/poo in the potty by herself. We keep her bottomless at home (it's been about a month and half) just to reinforce her listening to her body. We had a few accidents when we first went out in public but after a weekend of going out she got it...and we just make sure to take her every hour or so. I love not changing poo diapers anymore

Did you use pull ups or training pants overnight? We use diapers at nap and bedtime and that has not led to any regressions. I was afraid to go in public at first and out her in a pull-up and we has to retrain for a day so now I never use pull ups in public

What worked well for you? What didn't? around 18-19 months we tried just putting her on the potty and she would go pee/poo if we timed it just right and that did not work for potty training. The 3 day method kind of forces them to pay attention to their bodies and the accidents are learning experiences so they're kind of a necessary evil

At Chopsuey had great advice and I know she was able to do the three day method with a toddler and infant. My friend did the 3 day method with her 2.5 year old son a few months after having her baby girl - she said it was the 5 day method for her.

@T.H.O.U.: We haven't had any success with pooping either. I did catch him one time trying to go and got him to the potty. He went a tiny bit but I think he had already pushed it out when he had his diaper on. He wouldn't finish going on the toilet. (Haha sorry that's a little TMI!)

We are in the middle of it now (2 years 4 months). It started at school where they would just take her every 45 minutes or so. It got to the point she was staying dry for the entire day at school. So the past two weeks we have been trying underwear but she still has accidents occasionally (maybe just once a day) but she won't poo in the potty.

So...I hate potty training. And I'm not very good at it. I wanna know what worked for you! :)

Is your LO a boy or girl?
How old were they when you potty trained?
Did you use any special methods?
Did you use pull ups or training pants overnight?
What worked well for you? What didn't?

So far we've been trying to catch him when he has to go and also putting him on the potty to try. I make sure he gets lots of praise and positive reinforcement. He also gets an m&m for peeing in the potty and will get 2 for pooping. We tried underwear for a couple of days but I was having a hard time keeping up with the accidents while also caring for DS2. I read over the 3 day potty training method today but it doesn't seen realistic for us. DS2 is still nursing every 2 hours (sometimes less). My family is helpful but I don't think they will be as on top of things as the 3 day method suggests. I just don't think we'd be successful.

DS is almost 28 months old.
